Depends which model it is. PX is open or closed, as is a T5. LML has a reserve and straight up is on. If the bike is Italian originally and imported the markings will be in foreign, don't know the Italian for open and closed I'm afraid. If you have a fuel gauge, no problem, fill up when it shows 1/4 full. Otherwise run it until dry and remember how many miles per tank you get, then push it to the garage and fill up again.

The headlights will be left hand drive, You need to get an English spec one fitted. The MOT will pick it up and you will fail. Be careful buying though, some shops may not know the difference, specify what you want and any shop worth it's salt will sort you out. I've had this problem buying from England so be wary. I borrowed one from my other Vespa and replaced it once the test was done, never caused a problem.

The horn is a straight power to earth set up, if that don't work it should be the battery screwed in some way, check connections and earth. If it doesn't have a battery check connection to block.

Including poor old Paddy from Ireland who went sideways into a landrover, he was at the gig that night though, what a trooper. Great weekend and a good bunch of lads (and lasses). Wish I could have stayed longer but someone has to pay the bills. Thanks to the organisers and especially Barry and his missus.

Ring DVLA on 01792 783214. It's the exports department, but they answer the phone very quickly. No automated switchboard, they might transfer you or answer themselves.

So do I but I can't get too excited about what the SPC say. What time are the Irish contingent planning for this ride-out on Friday. I run a cab and need to organise. I hope the weather holds out and we all have a great time of it.

is there a nearby supermarket to the campsite? Super market about 5 mins walk, or 2 by road. Depending which gate you go out of, down past the police HQ, left at bottom, past prison, right at end down side of prison, left at the end SMart 200yds on your left.

Fuel starvation seems most likely, or could be the air filter clogging and starving it of air. Slight possibility of the wrong plug being fitted, fit a hotter running one and see.

In my experience the cable usually (99/100) snaps at the handlebar end because of the wear it gets there and because the elements can get at that end easily, also it's not the cable snapping as such, more the end fraying due to constant bending at the lever. Dremel inside the nipple housing to reduce snagging of the nipple. Apply grease in this area of the cable to keep the elements, mainly water, at bay. The inside cable should not need greasing but no harm in running it through a greasy rag as you insert it, unless it's a friction free cable inner and outer. Remember that grease keeps water at bay but does retain dust and stuff in the air. Your choice.

Locking mechanism? Do you mean the piece of twisted base metal and plastic that won't stop a field mouse on weed? Glad you found the squeak though.

I even had people taking pictures of my T5 cutdown at the Ramsey sprint during TT week. I wonder if the same kind of thing would happen if I take the Harley to the IOW?
As I've got both how big is my willy supposed to be?

Mile for mile more expensive than even the Steam Packet. Like the idea of the protest. Only toll I've ever paid was the Severn bridge and only because the idea of paying to get into Wales was so perverse it amused me.

I am not that familiar with the motor mentioned but I always assume there needs to be some kind of connection between engine and electrical / ignition system for anything to happen. Unless you have a diesel model? Petrol leak could be carb overflow, as the engine ain't firing but fuel is still being sucked in.

I just tried getting insurance for a new bike (Aprilia Pegaso 650) L V = £170:00 comp and I have 3 other bikes with them. Bennetts = £74:00 Nothing else with them. Seems the use of a specialist bike firm could pay off.

I would if the engine were big enough. I love odd things and that is certainly eye catching.

Skrappey, I thought everyone knew that these new Vespa lookylikeys had TRYES!! ;D 1 spelling mistake and people are on my case FFS! As dto says check your bearing in the way he described, if it's not the bearings then it could just be the TYRE profile creating the wobble. Does it wobble at all speeds or just when you're going quite slow? Not having a pop at you fella, more at the bike. Don't you think they're quite ugly, if only they could be lowered and the seat changed for something that doesn't look like a jelly mold.

Or you could try the TYRE pressure. Mind you, these new things could have tryes. Quite fancy a go on the 350 if it ever materialises.

I wasn't that impressed on the 'parts fair' but only because of the lack of spare parts. , Everything was brand new and nothing too exciting. I bought loads but only because I need spares on the IOM and if I just bought one spark plug I would cover the cost of postage in the entrance fee. Thanks to all stall holders and sorry there weren't that many buyers. (My clutch cable snapped 7 miles from home but as it's all downhill I drifted down. Good job I'd replenished my supply at LLLLLLandudno) Great weekend, by the way, how are Jedi knights and stormtroopers 'Victorian?

I would say that, as the main reading is in Kms, that you are right and it's kms that are recorded. I've just found an old MOT form, from 98, and it just states "recorded mileage". If the MOTs are the same still it would just be what is recorded and, as you are in England, would be assumed to be miles. It doesn't matter that much, any buyer would know the difference and allow for it. If you do advertise it just put that it's the amount of Kms it's done and you're covered.

Yup, if you don't cover the chrome with a smear of vasaline (there are other products available) before garaging for any length of time. Also you should look at ventilation, both on the covers and in your garage. We live in a temperate zone and it rains a lot, that we can do nothing about I'm afraid

The only variable here seems to be the exposure of said scooter to direct sunlight and heat. Try parking it facing the other way, thereby shielding it from harmful sun-rays. I've not the faintest idea whether that will work or not, but what's the harm? If it works I'll eat my pork pie hat.
