Or you could try the TYRE pressure. Mind you, these new things could have tryes. Quite fancy a go on the 350 if it ever materialises.

the only problem with a proper scooter is there slow and break down back to the vespa gt put your bike on stand so front wheel is off ground , hold forks and push and pull and see is there,s any movement in the steering bearing , these can be adjusted if needed . Tire pressure (when cold): Front: 26.1 psi (1.8 bars) Rear (rider only): 29.0 psi (2.0 bars) Rear (rider + passenger): 31.9 psi (2.2 bars) the vespa GT300 comes out this month

thanks for the info, i checked the pressures after my post and they were a bit low, however after sorting this the wobble is still there (at about 30 mph). I will have a go at checking the steering bearings tomorow. As you can guess i am new to this forum and new to the vespa (although i have had an SR and a Runner before) so all the help is appreciated.

Skrappey, I thought everyone knew that these new Vespa lookylikeys had TRYES!! ;D 1 spelling mistake and people are on my case FFS! As dto says check your bearing in the way he described, if it's not the bearings then it could just be the TYRE profile creating the wobble. Does it wobble at all speeds or just when you're going quite slow?

your scoots a 2003 you state no mileage so could it have the original front tyre on still , this may have legal tread still but at 5 years old could have worn uneven or be defective in old age

Don't you think they're quite ugly, if only they could be lowered and the seat changed for something that doesn't look like a jelly mold.

How bad a wobble? The GTS has a similar problem at low speeds. The fact that I have heard this happens on other GTS’s eased my worries, also I don’t ride that slow so I never notice it ;D Check the forum on www.modernvespa.com as this is aimed more at the later Vespa range, they may have some more advice

Anyone who slates the GTS just can't afford one Anyone who knocks the vespa smallframe is a fat twot with a tiny panis (escapes rude words excellently there) Anyone who knocks the lambretta is a puff with a manicure. Anyone who knocks into people is a pick pocket .
