I bought a new Vespa LX 125 in Feb 2007, all well until the warm weather arrived last summer - after about 10-15 km of mountain driving, the motor would just stop. The starter motor continued to turn over when the ignition was turned but the engine wouldn´t start unless I left the bike 30-40 minutes when it would start again and I could go another 10-20 km! Bike OK again in winter but problem again this summer! Any ideas? NB The local dealer couldn´t figure it out. We live in a mountainous region in Spain

Fuel starvation seems most likely, or could be the air filter clogging and starving it of air. Slight possibility of the wrong plug being fitted, fit a hotter running one and see.
