The bottom one is used with covers, usually included if you buy one. If you want just buy an M10, or 8, can't remenber which. the right length.

Devo that explains everything. ;D They allways use Vespas in adverts and never Lammys Not totally true, see the new C&W ad for the IOM. A lovely SX200 with gold leaf detailing. They had the choice and went Lammy. Don't know if it will be seen outside the island though. One guy actually wrote a symphony with 22 Lambrettas at full throttle in it. I think it was Hoffnung.

If you mean the sightglass for the oil, I always thought it is meant to be a sealed unit.

Or buy some 'dogs leg' levers, they'll help.

With the bungy it will hold the arm at contact with the cam. Meaning there will be only slight adjustment necessary for proper operation. If it pulls the arm beyond contact it is too tight. The idea is to take up the slack so to speak, not partly operate the clutch. It takes away the need to hold the arm and try to do up the clamp with the same hand. If the biting point is too close just back it off with the adjuster, that's what it's for. You have to allow for a certain amount of cable stretch in the first few days also. Give it a bit of throttle when changing down, it sometimes helps.

Usually FC doesn't cost any more, maybe a little but it's nice to have that peace of mind. I find Bennetts good and fairly priced. Prices depend on many factors, google and do a comparison, be honest in your answers. What's your life worth?

Not in my experience, no. Check the wheel is still round, not as silly as it sounds. You may have hit a curb and twisted it somehow. Beyond that I would suggest taking it to someone, who knows what they are doing, to have a look at. Sorry, I've not been much help really.

Main jet blockage, use screwdriver to take it out and blow through removing the marble that's there. Replace and it will work as intended. May be worth looking at the carb as the sh*t had to come from somewhere

The first thing you do when changing your shoes is to back off the brakes. If you haven't done this I am suprised you ever got the hub off, let alone on again If you did do that check they are seated properly. You don't need to hit the hub to get it back on, if you do there is something wrong. It should be a push fit. Totally undo the brake at the cable before you try again.

I remember, about a week after they let us take the front number plate off, I was coasting down to my house at night. The cops saw me and followed me down the hill to my house. They asked why my lights weren't on, I explained I had no battery and didn't want to disturb the neighbours. One was a scooterist himself and we chatted about Lammys and Vespas for a bit until they went on their way, Bloody good job they didn't want to see the MOT or insurance!, or my licence for that matter.

I always put extra two stroke in on a long/fast run. As mine has a 180 on the reasoning is that the autolube is set for a 125, therefore not enough lube for a 180. I use an extra 1% and haven't had any trouble, so far.

Good idea and if hen makes a few bob from it then good for him. My gripe would be where it was. The green has been known for a free show, alternative custom show if you like, a chance to walk rould and take pics, talk to folk. This gig upset that scene and icrowded everyone into a small areas with accompanying parking problems. Move it down the prom a bit as there's plenty of space. As I said, goood show but in the wrong place.

Got it to my lockup today and gave it a blast up and down the lane. Seems perfectly happy now the petrol has cleared. All that's wrong is the back brake switch has collapsed, tempted to waste £19 on a test next week just to see what it fails on. I'd forgotten how poor 6v lighting was until today.

Another tip for this particular task, use a bungy, you must have one to be a scooterist, hook it round the clutch operating lever and clip it to the furthest point away it will reach (usually the front wheel/suspension) this will hold the lever at tension until you've done up the nuts. It will be roughly where it should using this method, as long as you've backed off the adjuster to the utmost. Even with a simonini it works, I've used it often. After it's done up just unhook the bungy.

A quick query. My mate has one of the above. It starts ok but petrol p*shes out the exhaust for a bit. Runs for about 30 secs and starts to fade. Will run with throttle but not tick over. I think carb and sticking chamber/reservoir leading to flooding, could it be something else?

Why not leave it like that and have a pretty good anti-theft device? When you turn it off it looks as if it's on, the scroats get 100yds and run out of fuel, thinking it's empty they torch it and run off.

Ok, I got the electrics fixed. Thanks to everyone who replied to my last post...Now a sillier problem: The gas flow control has a C on the left and an R on the right (as you are sitting on the bike looking down at the handle). Turning it all the way left, with the C facing up is closed. Turning it all the way to the right with the R facing up is reserve. I assume that means pointing the handle straight down is "On". But it doesn't run there--no gas flow it seems. So I have been running it on Reserve the whole time....it runs fine there, but doesn't seem right to me. Anyone know what's going on??? my 79 p125x is the same tap to the left C ( closed ) , tap up is normal tank and tap right R ( reserve ) CHIUSO , APERTO , RISERVA - closed , open ,reserve Now I do know what they are in foreign, it still looks the same, as though your tap is on upside down somehow, how it works like that is anyone's guess.
