Noticed a little leak from the rubber seal around the sight glass - any clues on fixing it?

If you mean the sightglass for the oil, I always thought it is meant to be a sealed unit.

Yup, it's the oil one - a very slow seep that's got into the floorboards.

hi the sight glass can be screwed in/out so if its not closed tight, the leak could be from there
try to tighten it (clock wise)

Fab! Thanks both! When it stops raining and the sun comes out, I'll (hopefully) solve that one...might be a long wait

Well, I tried tightening it and it wouldn't budge, so I might ask someone to have a look sometime. It may be cracked like you say, and I just can't see it.

My sight glass has snapped off and flooded the garage floor. How do I change? Do I need to take the tank out?. If so .. what needs to come apart? Can it be done without removing tank? Any advice appreciated.

Sorry, I didn't intend to patronise you to show you what it looks like - 'twas just a close-up of the part's thread - wouldn't of thought you'd need to take the tank out...anyone out there agree or disagree?

theres this rubber between the sight glass and the frame try removing it and see for yourself if the sight glass is small enough to go out without removing the tank. if so, you can use long nose pliers of some sort or socket to remove it BUT, you will have to drain the oil out before
SO eventually...maybe removing the tank is easier...

^ agree, I'd take the tank out, it's much easier to access and you can be sure the new one goes on right and tight without risking damage by trying to tighten it blind through the hole in the frame. Few bolts and you can just lift the tank out, petrol pipe stays in place, just the oil pipe needs to be removed, jobs easiest with 2 people though...
