Hi All,
My T5 classic is misbehaving a bit and I'm at a bit of a loss as to why...
it was all fine until one day on my 15 miles trek homeward it began loosing power when I accelerated. like it was going to cut out everytime i tried to give it gas. I pulled over and chilled for a bit and it fixed itself.
next thing i know the exhaust tail pipe falls off so I assumed it was all connected and the exhuast wasnt working properly and that was the problem.
however problem re-surfaced lat week en route in (after whole new exhaust system fitted). I managed to get into work ok by not giving it too much welly. for a while it would start but cut out when you turned the throttle. now it wont start at all.
I'm reluctant to get involved in too much tinkering without knowing what I'm doing cos I'm by the side of the road miles from most of my tools and any mates to help / shoulders to cry on.
any thoughts? I assume its petrol not getting through properly?

if I'm to have a pop at checking the filters and other such shenanigans can anyone suggest tools I should have and anything to leave well alone?
I'll have a spanner set, philips and flat screw drivers, and a couple of other bits and pieces but any specific suggestions much appreciated!
I suppose I'll take the carb out altogethor and clean in petrol unless anyones got a better idea... cheers T

sounds like your jets maybe blocked, same happened to me, take them out and give them a blow through and make sure your air filters clean, where are you?

Main jet blockage, use screwdriver to take it out and blow through removing the marble that's there. Replace and it will work as intended. May be worth looking at the carb as the sh*t had to come from somewhere
