hello. im trying to take apart a T5 engine - at the moment im stuck on the crank - i cant shift the thing from the bearings nor the bearings from the bearing housing.
ive tried heating the case, also tried heating the bearings - tried tapping the crank itself but the thing will not budge -
any advice?

hello rudi - i have the cases apart, although it was a bit of a struggle. - i just cant get the crank itself out of the left hand side of the case. or out of the bearings.

ive done it long time ago but from what i remember , once the clutch is out, the crank is free to come out. i really dont have a trick beside the old fashioned way..
what you can do is slowly pour boiling water on the bearing area and hammer on the clutch side of the crank with a plastic hammer while you keep the crank rotating
now this is a bit tricky cause you have to give some decent hammering but take caution not to over do it, or you can warp the crank
hope this helps..
