Toughest part of the job is removing the piston nearside circlip and thats about as fiddly as it gets mate . Its easy , get a mate to do it .
Just get your timing set right !
PS, I have a strobe light

Is that including matching the transfers, cutting crank web and opening inlet ie: complete engine strip. If its just a plug n play job then I think its OTT . Its about £180 for the kit n pipe

100kpm is 62mph, vintage shopping trolleys and motorways don;t mix well together, but thats a price you pay for looking good ricey. Leave motorways fot the gts mate.
You can now rinse that motor good style cos its probably f**ked any way LOL

I've heard of far more vespas siezing than lammies over the years. I've heard mainly lammies holing their pistons.
Nice one ricey, you probably caught it in time, I've siezed the smally and its still singing ok.
What speed?throttle opening were you at, you tall b*st**d ?

casings should still come apart though if you just have one loose d bolt in casing. I haven't heard of cast alloy and hard steel fusing together. Are yuo sure you have removed all the studs.
Try soaking the offending stud in GT85, WD40 or Rockeze and leaving it overnight then tap out the next day.
Obvious questions , but have removed clutch and crank drive cogs aswell as hub nut etc :
Oh and lube the locating lug by the gearbox oil filler plug

there are 2 threaded studs surrounding the crank/stator area 1. at the top of the carb inlet manifold (thereabouts if you get my drift) 2. and 1 directly opposite , this is the one you see below the exhaust manifold when viewing the engine as complete. these studs are opposed to each other ie 9 & 3 oclock. there are other "d" ended loose studs in this area Check out "spliting the casings section" here it will help you no end # www.smallframes.com/

I have the Scootrs exhuast on my P200 and have had no probs good acceleration and good top end. Mind you I havent been able to fit the spare with it on. If anyone can advise how to fit the spare, it would be a great help Cheers Rods by a bit of tinkering "movistar" means , knocking the hell out of the pipe with a lump hammer

Its a pk with a px motor in it. Whip the carb off and check your jetting a la px 125 (?) , clean carb thoroughly, leave air screw at 1.5 turns initially. Torque head down, check exhaust ain't rotten. Chjeck carb airbox is tightened down sufficiently with a gasket in place.
The drink a bottle of thunerbird and stare at yourself naked in front of the mirror ( it helped me !)

have you just run new rings in or was it a complete rebuild ? 45mph according to vespa speedo or a gps system ? Proper exhaust or one of those restrictive twin tail piope jobbies?
