Hi yer, Trying to sort out my running issue (died on me after a mile ) I think its a carb issue which I'm going to strip down .I've noticed it a Dellorto 20-20 D and read for a Sprint 69 it should be a 20-17D whats the difference?

MY sprint(150 169)is now top of my list I've had to change the petrol tap as its wouldn't turn off.Replaced with a fastflow not sure if this is a good idea or not.Anyway now I've cleaned the carb but it still just wont start just backfires after a couple of kicks. This all started about a month ago when it started dieing at 50 mph and now she's dead. any ideas where to start

Henri you do have a way with words. yep your right I shake like a mad man looking like I'm crapping myself when I'm tryin to stop .Movement on the test.Questions How dangerous is it and UK new forks £150+ ebay india £60 are the latter a waste of money?

I have juddering when braking, so myself and a mate attempted to tighten the top bearing on the forks.Only to find the top locking nut wouldn't move (undo or do up)So I've got new locking nuts and bearing and the plan was to heat up the old and replace. But my mate said you know we could be opening a can of worms if the old locking nut has been cross threaded your screwed, leave it alone unless it fails mot in june.Am I right if its crossed threaded its new forks.?

Reply from Dez.
Hi Simon,
I think the problem lies with a manufacturer in Italy making an assumption! The first Sprint as you know had a VespaS badge on the legshield and VespaSprint on the rear. These rear badges are what are being remade (65mm pin setting). As you have discovered the later model had a separate Sprint Italic badge set under a Rally180 style Vespa italic badge.(55mm pin setting) It would appear that this badge is not reproduced and in fact half a rear badge is offered instead!!
Hope this makes sense but does mean you arelooking for a rare item now.

Hi all I'm having difficulty locating the sprint badge for the legshields. The pin holes are 5.5cm apart and everywhere I look there 6.5cm apart.I really don't want to drill new holes. any ideas? thinking glue but won't that be messy, why are mine different? Cheers to anyone who replies

I was thinking of putting the spare wheel under the sidepanel but keeping the tool box door, thinking I could use it for access to the spare wheel and cutting the bottom of the panel off (maybe welding a px bracket)has anyone done anything similar?

Hi all, I've got movement (more than I think is normal) on my gear selector on the handlebars on my 69 sprint.I first thought it was just the cables need adjusting but no looking through the headset I can see movement on the handlebar before cables are engaged.Any ideas before I start taking things apart? Many thanks to anyone who replies,
