New issue for me. The last couple of times I've been out, if I go above 45 50 it jerks abit and then dies on me . Its starts up straight away and is all good around town but just doesn't like it above 45 50 .Any ideas where to start? Cheers to anyone who replies

check the fuel supply to the main jet...like check the carb float bowl top / needle valve
i could just as easily be electrical , without knowing more detail it's hard to say
points model? - check condenser

I had the same problem and as silly as it sounds, it was caused by too hot a plug. I put the correct plug in and all was sublime. Worth checking.

MY sprint(150 169)is now top of my list I've had to change the petrol tap as its wouldn't turn off.Replaced with a fastflow not sure if this is a good idea or not.Anyway now I've cleaned the carb but it still just wont start just backfires after a couple of kicks. This all started about a month ago when it started dieing at 50 mph and now she's dead. any ideas where to start
