Just finished respraying my sprint with cans.I got the paint colour matched with 2pak.£13 a can (I used 10 400ml cans).I built at tent out of plastic decorating sheets in the garden as I don't have a garage ,the odd fly got in but overall I'm very pleased with the finish.After a week I went over it with wet and dry 2000 grade and buffed it with a fine compound. Now to put it all back together.

thanks,£50 for the tool I might try henri's advise "freeze the crank n warm the bearings an it will slip on loads easier , no need for a crank tool",2014.Where is henri??

I'm changing the crank and understand freezing it is the best way to do this.Could this be done with a plumbers shock freeze spray or is it best via the freezer.

I'm thinking of fitting a racing crankshaft ideally a long stroke on my sprint but the thread I'm told is m10 that goes into flywheel and all long stroke cranks I've searched for are m12 which would mean I would have to change my ignition to px type am I correct?

I've nearly finished my disc conversion but I can't seem to get a 22mm castle nut (hub lock nut) ones I've ordered pk or px are are 23mm or 20mm the forks are off a lml star if any one has any suggestion it where I could get one would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if Lml star front forks will fit my Sprint as I'd like to convert to disc brakes and thought this maybe the cheapest way to do this.

I finally got round to look at it today and Ant vespa was correct (sorry no prize).Made to fuel pipe about 3 inches shorter which improved the flow .Now all good.Thanks everyone ,don't know what I'd do without this message board.Going to the zoo on Friday with my mate for our annual ride out I'm under a bit of pressure cause he has a lammy and would love it if I didn't make it there and back !Fingers crossed

Thanks everyone is stops as if its turned off I did check the where the float in the carb is and that was full and then put the scoot to bed .I'll check the carb again(friday hopefully) maybe the float isn't operating.Will update.Cheers again

my sprint 69, which in the last 18 months has had a new barrel and piston, clutch,carb,petrol tap,electronic ignition,has now decided to go 100m and then dies .I manage to get back(just) if I put the choke on .Cleaned carb and filter and checked jets are clear and tried a bigger main jet. but still the same. Anyone have ideas it would be much appreciated.or a mechanic in N.london area (apart from retrospective scooters).Thanks anyone who replies.

Just to let anyone know I've just fitted the dr 23 tooth to my sprint as recommended it fits perfectly and certainly does the job.
