Have you still got the split rims, or do you have tubeless? If you have tubeless then you need to make sure that any tyre guy you use has and can get the equipment to go that small. If it's a split rim, use force, block of wood and fairy liquid... It's a bit like lube... 😎

I think it's racist. We should lead a march on Facebook towers in the U.K., knocking over any statue of anyone who hasn't got anything to do with two wheels and two stroke. Give it a few days, it'll be a worldwide movement where they show back to back screenings of Quadrophenia and the video to the Blur song Parklife.
Not that I'm prejudiced, I hate everyone equally... 😎

Hi and welcome. Sounds like to me that you quite haven't got the knack of putting the side panel on. Is that right? With the flywheel cover, Adrian is right, it might need a little manipulation. With the side panel itself, I find it difficult to describe... Treat it like a big hinge, pin near the indicator in first, point the opposite to the gods, bring that end down. Rest the spring on the top of the panel fixing point (this was where sometimes mine needed a careful "t**tting"), make sure the spring is on the panel fixing point above the battery. Lower end down, put the pin in the locating hole, push in the panel with one hand, while the other turns the lever under the seat. If anyone can make sense of that, then I've had a bloody good day.... 🤠😎

Check the ht lead, check the spark plug cap too. If they are ok, I'd check your stator and flywheel.

Could have put cosa internals into a standard basket I guess? I had a lot of trouble with these a few years ago, turned out the brand new clutch was part of a faulty batch... Big bloody batch too..,

I guess he's just busy. We all go quiet from time to time. What would you use it for? My plan is to use it as a basis for my Reliant/Vespa shorty trike project, which would mean my old VBB frame would be up for sale as I was going to use that. Just depends on condition really... 🤠😁

I got a tight tip too, cheap hairspray to put them on... 🤠 Personally I think the Sundance grips look like a ribbed sex toy, plus I'm not really a fan of shiny sh*t, I've kept my original ones on the sloth. Each to their own though, makes sense about the vibration never thought about it.

Best stuff to get old gunky oil off is fresh oil... But gunk does work well too.

Prefab isn't too bad you just need another pair of hands to start off with. Still it's a bit off mind, think your other half needs a talking to... 😁
