Hello can anyone let me know on a standard px125 exhaust some have the end of outlet pipe partly closed and some don't I've bought a secondhand one and its nipped partly closed should I open it up.thankyou very much for your help cheers alan.

Don't know why they are closed up, but if it was mine I would try it as is then open up and see if any different

Thankyou for your reply adrian I've taken off my cat exhaust off and I'm going to try a standard exhaust I think it has something to do with back pressure the end of exhaust being partly closed I'll see how it goes.

A standard exhaust will be miles better than the cat one for sure.

Thanks ironsloth do you think I'll have to adjust the mixture a bit I'm trying to get my plug a brown colour its gray now don't want it to seize it's a 2006 PC 125.thanks for any help cheers alan.

Hello if your carb is set for the cat it may be a tad lean for a standard pipe. Try a 98 main jet instead 96.

Hello I've taken of the cat on my 2006 Px and fitted a chrome nicer sounding exhaust the plug is a grey in colour have been altering mix screw on side of cab but still grey advised to fit a 98main jet have done this but still grey coulred plug very slightly sooty.should I leave it at that. throttle has a slight hesitation on pulling away In first but i can live with that any help much appreciated cheers alan.
