Stripped the Cush drive down and you were right folks 5 out of the 6 springs had snapped,in the new kit are 2 sets of springs, large and small and are supposed to be used in conjunction on 200cc scooters, would it make any difference if I used both on mine?going put a 177 kit etc, cheers folks

Cush drive not clutch, the springs are inside the main drive cog, gave it a shake because I was cleaning it up ready to refit and I can hear it rattling?is this normal?also crankshaft seals,am I right in saying the main seal faces outwards(metal plate)bearing side and the lip outwards, and the flywheel seal faces inwards ( lip and metal spring on the seal inwards?i can't remember the which way round they were when I pulled them out, cheers

Running full premix on my scooter and doing another rebuild, can I disregard the autolube drive (the drive that's by the clutch inside the engine) and just leave the top piece that connects upto the throttle cable also do away with the drive cog inside the autolube (not the ones inside the engine)? also blank off oil feed pipe hole on top with bolt instead of leaving the pipe going out the air box, cheers

Barrel to casings no problem but I'm really dupious about grinding the inlet just in case I knacker my engine, cheers

Post by kidda on Jul 24, 2015 8:46:55 GMT
Correct me if I'm wrong here please,if I open up the inlet port too much basically it's going run rough or not at all and you have to be spot on with degrees etc, could you get away with just matching the carb bottom with the top of the casings without opening up the actual bottom of the hole,or should I try my 24/24 carb see what it runs like then decide wether or not to go mental with a dremal, cheers

Nice 1 H,that's the same answer I got last night off a guy I got chatting to about parts, check out my other thread about porting and give us an idea before I start going bananas with the dremal, just a bit wary off doing it just in case it runs like a bag of sh*te and can't undo the grinding of the casings, cheers m8
