I have been reading sime's threads with great interest, not sure what pilot jet is in I'll have a look later it was a standard 24/24E carb except I upjetted the main to a 125. This is what I couldn't understand because when running with throttle open was really nice plenty of power and smooth.

Hiyya folks, got an issue with it seems as though it is missing at low revs,it runs sweet when out on run but at low revs seems to miss and have a flat spot when you start opening the throttle?24/24 carb,125 main jet,177 kit on a PX125E. Thinking dropping the main jet a size and adjust the timing from 19 degrees see what happens?engine just been fully rebuilt by me so I'm running it in,done about 200 mile,on 1st start up seemed to have a flat spot but wasn't to bad and ran ok,but today done about 20 mile then stopped let it cool down, kicked her back in it wasn't enjoying ticking over and had to keep the revs up to stop it dying?going have a mess tomorrow see if I can see anything, any ideas?

Got a bit of a dilemma here, what spark plug long reach or short?just putting the engine back together and thought I'd check the head before bolting down,I was going to use a B7HS so try it and there is still thread left in the head for a long reach plug,so I tried a long reach plug no thread left in the head but you can see thread on the plug, wasp performance recommend a B8ES plug which is a long reach plug but I've read about a short reach plug????confused!!!!

Done a straight 10 mile non stop at a top speed of 40mph well happy with the performance, think my retorquing the head has made a difference, few more miles then retorque the casings etc and drop the oil.

Test run number 3 later, took her for a run yesterday and seemed all ok except slightly popping from the cylinder head, one of the pins had slightly come loose, tightened everything down again and see how she goes

I've put on a 24/24 carb and upjetted from the standard 116 to a 124 then dropped to a 122 because seemed to have a little flat spot, took her up a steady incline and pulled well, going out tomorrow for a longer distance only did about 4 miles today just incase something went wrong but seemed to run really nice and smooth,I'll keep you updated on the results

Well impressed with the maiden voyage, plenty of power and runs nice and smooth through all the gears, took it for a steady couple of miles just let it all settle in,a job well done me thinks just need clock some miles up then see what she can do I reckon an easy 70-80mph with the way she was pulling,we will see after a nice steady 500 mile at tops 40mph,hope the mot went ok H and cheers for all the advice.

Brought one from this guy. Well impressed with my new timing light,1st time ever set the timing on a scooter and job done all set to 19 degrees, had a little mess with it earlier just a few final tweaks before I take the old girl out tomorrow for the maiden voyage, had to have a little go up and down the street seems ok,tweak the clutch and dropped the jetting down to a 122 main seemed I had a little flat spot, see how it runs tomorrow then adjust accordingly, fingers and toes crossed she runs ok and dunna blow up haha
