hi peeps, ive run in my mallossi 166 kit and its running really well until i hit 55 to 60 mph then its cutting out, this normally happens after the engine has warmed up and i get on a stretch of road and i want to open up a bit, its just a bolt on with a standard carb and scorpian exhaust b8 es plug. it seems like its run out of fuel and just cuts out , then starts up no problem and runs as normal after a minute or so, any help from you guys would be much appreciated, the plug colour is good and suggests its running ok and ive run it in gently over 500 or more miles, my scoot is a px 125 mk1 , cheers in advance for any help.

partially blocked tank breather ,overlong or kinked fuel line, could even be a bit of crud in line acting like a ball valve when ya go WOT an put full demand on the fuel supply .a top to bottom checkout of ya fuel system , 1st check see if it still does it with tank cap open ,no=breather .then if it still does it with tap on reserve ,no=crap in tap , an so on working n fettling down til ya get to carb ok , H

What size main jet do you have in there? Is it the 20mm carb? See above

Could be a partially blocked fuel filter. This is located under the dome shape with the centre screw on carb.

a long reach would be overheating in a short head ,a short in long gives poor starting an performance , you might of hit on his problem there kidda , H

Think I'd have the head off and check the piston and barrel for damage
