Well impressed with my new timing light,1st time ever set the timing on a scooter and job done all set to 19 degrees, had a little mess with it earlier just a few final tweaks before I take the old girl out tomorrow for the maiden voyage, had to have a little go up and down the street seems ok,tweak the clutch and dropped the jetting down to a 122 main seemed I had a little flat spot, see how it runs tomorrow then adjust accordingly, fingers and toes crossed she runs ok and dunna blow up haha

Well impressed with the maiden voyage, plenty of power and runs nice and smooth through all the gears, took it for a steady couple of miles just let it all settle in,a job well done me thinks just need clock some miles up then see what she can do I reckon an easy 70-80mph with the way she was pulling,we will see after a nice steady 500 mile at tops 40mph,hope the mot went ok H and cheers for all the advice.

250 miles at 1/2 throttle ,then gradual increase upto 500 miles n full throttle , more important to vary revs n never let engine labour ,if goin up hill n it slogs drop a gear n rev more ,ok , an mot was a washout , vosa introduced a new system at 9 this morn ,it crashed n burned at 9.05 , no mot todays , still got to hang with the garage monkeys for a hour or 2 , takin the mick, helpin myself to the scrap bin ,an got some work from guys given a "complimentary pre-mot check" to be told "it would of failed anyway" , so not all bad , H

just keep an eye on the burn on the plug you've changed timing and main jet try taking her up a decent long hill if you can find one see if shes better worse or same you may find you have to go back up on the main.she wont blow up as long as you don't up rate the clutch if you do or have then you take your chances and ride till she dies then fix it

I've put on a 24/24 carb and upjetted from the standard 116 to a 124 then dropped to a 122 because seemed to have a little flat spot, took her up a steady incline and pulled well, going out tomorrow for a longer distance only did about 4 miles today just incase something went wrong but seemed to run really nice and smooth,I'll keep you updated on the results

Test run number 3 later, took her for a run yesterday and seemed all ok except slightly popping from the cylinder head, one of the pins had slightly come loose, tightened everything down again and see how she goes

Keep on eye on the head and re torque after a few more miles. And re torque again after 100 or so miles

Done a straight 10 mile non stop at a top speed of 40mph well happy with the performance, think my retorquing the head has made a difference, few more miles then retorque the casings etc and drop the oil.
