Picked this up today...after not owning a vespa since 91 im very out of the loop on how things have moved on since i last swore at the awesome vespa Prange..this could become the most long winded..drawn out build in the history of scooter builds..because A..im a bit of a lazy f**ker...B ..parts will have too be sourced/engraved/painted/chromed as i can afford (they join a list of vices that take any spare money i have ) C..Need need too leave the kingsize rizla,s alone long enough too get a spanner in my hand In the coming weeks/months i will be asking for countless bits of advice on any bit of kit under 20yr old...as its all new too me I already have a list of parts/bits im gonna need...think im gonna bolt it back together (it needs a barrel and piston kit)..get it on its feet...then start stripping On my list is a screen made bitd by pollini (i think..ive smoked a lot since i last had 1 ) 3 sided blade screen with a slatted headlight cover..are these still made/able too get hold of ?.. Here we go..if your gonna start a project its gotta arrive with bits in boxes Exhaust..will be needing a new home methinks Engine..yep there is 1 greasy little dead italian sh*tbag..but it will rise again..coughing like a bong smoker Bodywork....not bad at all..afraid its gonna take some mudguard and rear trimming but the legshields are staying complete Day 1...let battle commence...(after ive rolled 1 ) Thanks in advance for all the help im gonna need LOON-E

not bad bodywise ,whats the underneath like , new barrel n piston an a couple of hours graft an it looks like it will be ridable , an i'd junk that simmoni exhaust aswell, i dont rate em on anything better than stock barrels/tune , an they make adjusting the clutch a real bitch of a job , worse than usual .for same-ish money as a stock barrel ya can get a dr 180 kit , goes well with a sip road2 exhaust ,£200 all in , H oh , an a slatted screen , utah type 80's scooterboy /t5 sort , not made anymore i think , an rockin horse poo rare , think ive seen 1 on fleabay recent , £175 if i'm remembering right , best start saving ya pennys , H

Knackered cylinder and head bk on.rear wheel/hub off...mmm where too start ! Cdi off..siezed bolts i hate you! ..spent the time it took too roll 1 considering..clean it up or chuck it in the parts bin and buy a new n..parts bin for you im afraid Kickstart off..smash it with the degreaser n all clean and tidy..we,re taking a trip too the engravers tommorrow too see if they can do what i want..the kickstarts gonna be the test piece Starter off..nice and minging!..not really intrested in keeping it..think it goes too parts bin heaven Looks a bit lighter if nothing else Started too get stuck in but running outta time before having too work...the state of play as of now.. Just got meself clean and the postie turns up.. not bringing me a bill for a change..but a few bits and bobs that sent me too work happy Back too scrubbing in the morning LOON-E

ali checker plate/sheet metal/plywood/perspex even a baked bean can lid , anything to hand that will cover it , cant be seen when lumps in scoot an doesnt bear any stress/weight , lack of leccy starter does make adjusting mixture screw a lot easier , H just realised ,picture on polini kit box is for a reed valve/barrel induction type , what carb you planning on running with that , H

Ohhh i need some sunglasses! The good thing about that greasy motor and its parts is its been preserved well and will probably scrub up quite nicely But if youre talking of engraving then maybe it won't quite be up to scratch. Take off the starter cog and it will be a little lighter!

my tuppence worth , dont extend the forks ,ruins handling an looks wrong to me , your scoot your choice an thats mine , rather than vesp forks will talk heresy here ,lammie forks ,aswell as lengthened can be raked to keep some handling/road holding ability , mates chop i built is 8 foot 2" (same length as my bike trailer) an still handles ok-ish ,but i raked aswell as extending ,kept the bottom tube (yes its a lamb-chop) horizontal , for me the floor on vesps needs to be horizontal aswell , H

I always thought Lammy forks look better in vespa,s that have the legshieds cutdown/tanks in the middle type affairs..my legshields are staying intact..the jigsaw n dremmel will be out for the front muguard though Had nxt too no time before work today but started getting the lump ready too go back in the frame..and make sure it will run once the piston kit/carb is on (in bits in boxes when i collected,) seller told me up untill the kamikazee piston ring incident it ran fine..but wanna be sure all is well before i start adding/modding/blinging too much Only piccys from today...tank out to get too the rear shock rubber bolt..Last time i had scoots it was common practise too ditch the oil premix tank and just chuck a glug ( highly technical measurment term for those unsure ;)of oil in with your petrol,,,think thats the way im going (you know its mixing then ) Engine starting too go back together...starter hole blanked off...i liked the bean can idea..but couldnt find 1..then my missis leaves her pop can sitting about...hey presto straight into the bodge it n scarper hall of fame...Top work that Managed to spend another 50 quid on assorted odds n sods online..will try n do a bit more saturday/sunday...but weekends are made for drinkin/smokin/ and if it stays dry i wanna give my day to day ride a good workout...prob wont intrest too many on here but the bottom pics my gsxr k6 1000..with yank yoshi tri oval can and ama superbike spec bazazz set up programable power com..adjustable traction control..and quickshifter, Tuned by Mark BDS dynos...a happy n healthy 156 bhp...keeps you focused Tanks....soon to be tank Blanked off hole..looks ok Shandy drinking bodging layabout..can was the missis,s..mine woulda been strongbow And the other Toy for when i wanna go mental LOON-E
