get 1 that needs a 12volt battery to work , the ones that power off the spark/impulse in ht lead are dimmer n need to be used in a darkened garage .not the best place to sit n run a scoot if ya like hearing an breathing.battery 1's are bright enuff to be used outside ,but best not in direct sunlight ,H

I use the Draper one but TBH any will be fine. You can also use the no battery type, I just found these a bit dull, ok if you are doing the timing at night!

Brought one from this guy. Well impressed with my new timing light,1st time ever set the timing on a scooter and job done all set to 19 degrees, had a little mess with it earlier just a few final tweaks before I take the old girl out tomorrow for the maiden voyage, had to have a little go up and down the street seems ok,tweak the clutch and dropped the jetting down to a 122 main seemed I had a little flat spot, see how it runs tomorrow then adjust accordingly, fingers and toes crossed she runs ok and dunna blow up haha
