Does anyone know about a cowl for px that fits a centre spark plug? I can only see one from pinasco which I presume is made of gold and diamonds judging by pinasco's price on the SOB. Would a 200 be 'close-er ish' than a 125? Or cosa or t5. Any help appreciated.

I always thought they were for poor quality petrol. Mostly seen it on 3rd world bikes. But What do I know. Never even seen it on a tuned scoot. Is it what people are doing now?

Parmakit all the way the 'classic' kit is a bargain. Never played on one of them you mentioned. As above the polini is great a 177 for bashing round town. Sorry no help with your 177. Is it a budget kit? the Indian 150 is supposed to be cheap and good. I've seen one go and its quite surprising how it went. Kit discussion this should see us through lock down love it

I'm in favour of a new one. But I'm not above the odd hatchet job. So long as it dont look like one! (The scoot belongs to me mate)

Hello thanks for your reply. Parmakit and it's only really where a few of the fins are but them bits have gone through. Should still be getting some air flow not sure how much no point in buying another if it'll just do it again. ?

Hello everyone. Has anyone with a px 125 melted their cowl? Did you bother to replace? If so with what? If not did the whole world explode or made no difference? Just wondered if you can get one slightly bigger one. Grateful of any help.

Hello del. Bad luck with not having the time to finish, that's always my downfall short on time. 180° that's massive isn't it. I'm at 120°. Think I'm on about the same measurement. Yeah I flowed the carb box too, rounded that horrible bit of casing of. My mod made a big difference but I think that's cus if suits the duration of the crank's opening. Thanks I will try find that thread but my search bar thing don't work to well.

Hello there del thanks for your comments and suggestions. All I really wanted to know was how top heavy the revs would be and stuff like that. I did all the sums and that carry on. I've got one of those mazuchelli cranks and felt the inlet was choking it a bit. Tuning books always make my head hurt and my foot itch. How did your tune go? Figures like 8mm scare the life out of me.

Ok. Got no answer so here's what I did. 0.5mm from front and 2mm from back. Better mid range and top end. Great stuff.

Has anyone increased inlet timing on a px with a polini 180? Thinking of doing it and would like to know about the results others may have had. Thanks

Could be a sticky lever in the carb. Could be stretched cable but probably because its a nob. All my cables are nobs. Including the repaired throttle cable. Proper nob.

Hello I felt that about flywheels myself so I got one with only 500g scraped off it. I only really use me scoot for blasting round town so thought it'd make it a bit nippy-er. As for my problem i reset the timming and it seems better. However i managed to ef something else now. So will have to wait for new parts till I can properly test it out. I hate waiting for parts.

All bikes I've done both feel and sound different after a rebuild. I think some of it is in your head and some of it's genuine. If there's a problem it normally let's you know. (When it's raining and far from home I find.)

They are up to the job but I use a 24si on similar set up and it's much more fun. And more thirsty. But worth it I reckon.

Get the Zeus. far superior bit of kit though out the whole rev range than what you got. If you enjoy your ride you won't regret it. Well worth it.
