Any tips on replacing them? Got loads of oil on but its still not going in easy. I can get the first one in with a lot of twisting and swearing but the next one is a bugger and I have already snapped 2 arrrr. Is it easier to take the piston off the arm and then refit it once its in the sleeve?

are you checking the ring gap before fitting ,no gap an they will never fit .i always use a marker pen to mark were ring pegs are ,so as fitting you can be sure there locating right . what barrel is it ,should have a chamfer at bottom edge to ease rings in ,if its been re-bored this is sometimes not replaced an makes rings harder to fit .an are you sure rings are right ones , ring pegs can be offset an ring ends fit around them, or can be central an shorter an rings fit over them .H

I broke two rings trying to get the piston back into the ring. Watched loads of Utube vids as everyone got them on so easy!!!!Grr So heres Trevs Top Tip. 1. Remove the Piston off the arm. 2. Fit your rings. 3. Then slip it back into the sleeve. 4. The fit it back on the arm. Much easier the only problem is fitting the clipson each end. Hope this helps
