Those plates on the link will look great, they might need to see a copy of v5 to make a plate for you.

Hi Doulsy Is it leaking out the hub seal or a gearbox breather? I cannot see from the pictures

Hi Doulsy I checked indicatore cornice on the Italian e bay site, which I think means indicator socket! and the only sellers were wilcat scooter parts and buzz solo! they were selling the large sockets for T5`s can you believe it is the UK sellers who are selling to the Italians
Maybe worth contacting Perry Lewis at totally scooters in Cumbria, they are always helpful and may give you some pointers if they cannot supply the bits Have any of the German shops got anything your size?

I am afraid I will need to count myself out of the competition as MICKINGLE has got me beat.
Obviously Doulsy has already been warned off wearing desert boots on his scoot, I hope he is not going to be riding around in a Fred Perry T shirt!

Anyone with a kids trampoline will have a good strong spring puller as they come with one

Hi Doulsy It is probably worth checking the pilot jet is correct, and the mixture screw is set properly, also stick a new spark plug in if you have not already, if you need a hand checking the pilot jet give me a shout, but my old eyes are struggling to read those wee numbers!

There are 2 plates for each side of the tunnel, a smaller plate goes on top of floor, and a slightly bigger plate goes underneath floor before stand is fitted, so it is like double strenthening, and helps hide signs of damage to top of floor, the plates are for the bolt holes .

If the floor has a small dent in it at the bolt mounting points then fit the stand strengthening plates you buy from Gran Sport, or maybe other suppliers now do them, they are stainless steel and give the floor a bit more strength and hide the dent, my p2 had a dent on floor probably due to previous owner sitting on it while on stand or riding it off stand, as well as butchering stand to fit sports exhaust. the plates look good and hide problems, loads of vespa owners use them, if you want a look give me a call, or i can txt you a pic. I know you need them asap but worth doing.

The update
Hi guys, on my second inspection and this time a bit more thorough, I found the clutch retaining nut to be loose, and the pressure plate and associated parts a bit worn looking so I replaced them with new, the clutch plates, springs and basket all look to be in very good condition so refitted Took scoot out for a ride and all good. Thanks for your inputs and advice

Yes lever, cable and actuator arm all ok, but like I said it can be fine for a few miles, becomes problematic, then comes good again and rides home fine, always been ok when engine off etc and I am not able to predict or cause fault, it would make fault finding easier if I could make it happen at will!

I have already taken the clutch casing cover off for a look, all appeared ok, I then put back together and problem persists, currently awaiting delivery of clutch compress tool and I will remove clutch and dismantle to check springs/plates etc I have also ordered a new pressure plate and the wire clip that goes with it.
to clarify what way does the spring clip that goes with the pressure plate go?
I will post my findings if any

Hi Guys I am riding a classic vespa with a 04 px 125 motor fitted, using a cosa clutch and new style flange clutch nut. recently i have had occasional clutch problems, usually coming up to junctions where i am unable to pull in clutch lever and need to stall scoot to stop, sometimes the lever is siezed for 5 mins, sometimes frees off right away, always comes good eventually and i can ride home. when clutch works it is fine, lever and cable all free, arm onto case cover all ok, scoot does have a bit of clutch drag when warm. The current set-up has been good for a couple of seasons, had new clutch plates fitted 800 miles ago.
I do not think there are that many things it could be, thinking about changing pressure plate and plates/springs. I see there are some complete clutches on e-bay at very cheap prices, any info on these?
All help/inputs appreciated

Hi Guys believe it or not 15 months on and that px runs great, and after a couple of gearbox oil changes, oil now comes out without petrol smell. so all good so far!

Hi Guys I was just looking for advice from people with more experience than me, not to start you all arguing with each other, but i do take on board the different opinions. the scoot was ran for a couple of days with carb flooding, until eventually petrol was contantly dripping out of gearbox breather, and when left overnight it would also fill the exhaust with fuel. the scoot has 3000km on clock which i think is genuine, so the seals are not old. from what has been posted and the plan is run it for 50 miles, dump gearbox oil again, to remove all trace of petrol, refill and run for a further 100 miles and check gearbox oil level first, before dumping oil to check for petrol smell, if oil level drops this will indicate oil being sucked into crankcase, if it rises this will indicate petrol being pushed into gearbox and if level looks same as previous, dump oil and do sniff check for petrol before deciding next plan of action if any. thank you for all inputs. I will update when time allows.

My centre stand was bent badly due to previous owner grinding bits off to fit simonini exhaust, which weakened it and caused a dent in floor as all stress was taken by right side foot board.
love the picture, made me laugh

Thanks for the help, having refilled the gearbox with fresh oil scoot runs fine, i will do a quick oil change next week to make sure there is no petrol contamination left in gearbox, then check it after 100 miles before jumping in and pulling it apart. Your advice has been reassuring.
Thanks

Do not knock zimmer frames, we will all probably end up with them at some point, i especially like the ones with wheels so you do not have to lift them for forward motion, hopefully by then there will be a tubeless tyre option, as i do not fancy a blow out at that age!

Hi There I have just fitted one of these to my standard P2, and it is not the prettiest, but it is good, as the sito + is meant to be same as standard i think it should be fine. I also fitted a set of reinforcing plates from Gran Sport, they are also very good.

Hi Guys. scoot 07 plate px125 with 150 top end and sito plus exhaust I know a gearbox overfull of petrol is not a good sign, the carb float was jammed and the carb had been flooding badly, when switched off filled the exhaust, also found the gearbox full of petrol, does this mean an engine strip and new seals? incidently since carb float needle replaced engine starts and runs fine.
All assistance appreciated
