After replacing a cat exhaust with a std one, I found myself needing to fit a new centre stand spring. Beedspeed sent me the old style spring as it's the cat exhaust that necessitates two thinner springs. Do I need to take the exhaust back off to fit the spring or is there a knack.

I used locking wire clamped into a loop with good Vice Grips (Mole Grips). BUT, word of warning. DO wear eye protection as these spring things have a lot of power and having seen a spring end break due to poor heat treatment with a flying bit of tempered steel about 8mm long & that isn't funny!!!!
