if oil stains not from right the top of clutch cover by breather its most likely the hub seal, pull the drum an if its full of oil its the hub seal gone , memorys sayin this is a lml 5 port motor , i think they still run the outside type hub seal ,an easy fix , pop out the crackered one ,measure the diameter of the protusion in centre of hub that seal sits on/seals an replace with that size , theres 2 sizes 28mm an 30 i think , chances are somebodys used the wrong size in the past ,you can mix em up both ways n hub will still fit on ,an either not seal or wear out in 4-5 miles , if brake shoes are soaked in oil its best to replace em, ive used brake cleaner in emergencys in past or heating with hairdryer/heat gun an dropping into panel wipe (naptha/de-natured petrol) but there never as good when oil fouled . H

Yup! Almost certainly the hub seal. For 27mm or 30mm diameter hub Also, When you replace it, it should not touch the circlip. It should be 3mm in from the outside edge of the cases. Or level with the bottom of the chamfer of the cases. But its still worth checking around you engine for other potential leaks

27mm , are ya sure ,i'm not , then my memorys got more holes than a tetley , or my best set of jeans after welding , i do like the ventilation tho, keeps my pair "hangin cool " ,H
