Hi I used a jigsaw with a METAL saw (I mean a saw which is used to cut Metal, it has little teeth) it cut the fly screen perfectly I guess the edges will be more roundish with a jigsaw than using a dremel which you will probably have a hard time keeping it in a strait/steady line

i would use full synthetic only if the engine is kited and high-reved rest of the time, a good (known manufacturer) semi-synthetic will do

3500$ does sound too much what about a pre restored one?
problem with restored ones (besides the price) is that you cant really know whats under the makeup and how good the job got done could be cm of filler....
so in any way you should try to inspect the btm side of the floor board, the rear in the engine mount area , and other hidden places

yes, its the same method if it cant go in, use a threaded rod to pull it IN from the opposite side

hi in my case- what i did, is squeeze the rubbers in without the pipe. you can use a bit of soap for it to slide in easily, with maybe the help of a plastic hammer and then i used a threaded rod (with washers and nuts) to insert the pipe back in. of course there is a special piaggio tool for it, but i guess it basically does the same thing.

Oil

hi,
you can top it up with whatever good grade 4 stroke engine oil, preferably semi-synthetic but i would just start from scratch and replace it all to new, that way you know whats inside.
topping it up with a different brand cant hurt assuming what you got in is 4 stroke oil.
as to the rear, if you are referring to the gear box, you should use gear box oil, which is a bit different , and has a unique smell as well (sulfur) . in any case i would replace that oil as well.

as far as i know there is no 49 cc 4-stroke Vespa (which is what the "4" stands for) There is, not many around (thanks god) but it exist 50cc and 4 stroke. youre right , i do see they had the ET4 50 cc was it really so bad?

as far as i know there is no 49 cc 4-stroke Vespa (which is what the "4" stands for)
if you lift your seat up, and you see 2 caps - one for fuel, and the other is for the 2-stroke oil then its an ET2 , 2 stroke Vespa

greetings, well.. electrical problems finally... my sprint had blown some bulbs, so ive checked voltage with a multimeter , turns out it does give 7,8,9 or more Volts depending on RPM. so what do i do now? get a new lighting COIL? attach a regulator? what do you think? cheers

Dont really think its appropriate to slate another forums members or thier views on here . Why dont you join their forum and ask them yourself ? Dont really understand why you are getting upset , I ride an LML and have never met any prejudice or snide comments of anyone , life is far to short its just not important well said

i think i would do the same. i mean even a clone could have its charm, but as soon as you try to patch it up with badges that dont belong on it, thats when the imitation/homage becomes a farce

where would you connect this computer to ? i mean there are some tools you can stick in the pipe like in MOT tests but you cant connect a computer to a scooter with no engine management system, e.g all 2T Vespas

It's an interesting question, why would someone put a vespa badge on a LML. Because he loves Vespa's so much , he wants to honor the name? maybe some sort of weird homage? but why not buy it in the first place? because of the price difference?

could be Cush Gear plates on idle no pressure on inner springs when you put in gear and ride, springs compress if the plate/s that secures the Cush Gear (by rivets) are a bit loose, the springs may push the plate/s outwards to fix that is engine stripdown but if youre out of options and no good mechanic around to hear the engine and you are handy and know your stuff you can remove clutch cover and clutch and check that Cush Gear outer plates are riveted tight you can use eye to check the clutch side and your finger to examine the inner one just a long shot ...but could be thats the noise

welcome! vespa engines are low tuned so basically any kit will increase performance in some way or the other regarding reliability, it mostly will depend on which kit, how its tuned (jets, carb, oil, etc) , and how you ride.
i can say carefully, that even with a kit, engine will still remain fairly reliable im not really familiar with the 180 or other kits for 125 so ill let other answer that

and i may add that its a good thing to keep two fingers on the clutch when speeding pressing the clutch will disengage the engine and free the rear wheel
and why wait to get home? always keep a reserve underwear along with the rest of the tools
