Whether your PX is a later model and has autolube, or an earlier model (or if the autolube has been disconnected) and you are pre-mixing in the petrol tank, you should be using fully synthetic 2-stroke oil.
Personally I use Selenia, but there are plenty available.
Not a daft question by the way.

I've got an 06 PX and have always used Rock Semi Synthetic without a problem

i would use full synthetic only if the engine is kited and high-reved rest of the time, a good (known manufacturer) semi-synthetic will do

Any decent brand fine, I always use Putoline semi synth, but that's because it's the only brand my local dealers sell!

Since i switched to Putoline full synthetic, mine's run altot smoother. Mind you, i do think that every engine has it's own quirks and what works well for one might not be the same results for another. so might be a case of just trying out a few different brands.

You should only use fully synthetic with autolube

I'd like to know the reasoning behind that statement too?
