Is there any tubeless rims for a Smallframe with a 10 inch conversion? I've been told there isn't any for the 10 inch conversion.
Wheel size - 3.50 - 10, would I be able to use for example PX rims and tyres?
I was coming home from work Earlier today and he said the rear wheel was wobbling, looked under and it's held on my two wheel nuts.. The other threads had snapped clean off??

What basket do people recommend for Malossi kitted engine? I've got Malossi plates and one reinforced spring.
Also, what are the torque for the clutch, hub and wheel nuts?
thanks

I prefer smallframes and it's been ported and matched, so it's pretty quick. It's quicker than most scooters in my club which are tuned up 200's. Each to there own

I'm thinking of swapping my recent clutch plates out for another set of plates, see if there is any difference. Running a Malossi kitted 50 Special, the clutch currently has Malossi plates in them. I'm looking at these plates - www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/clutch+friction+plates+malossi_52165220I will also swap out the woodruff key, clutch nut and clutch nut locking washer and use the Malossi SVX Sport gearbox oil to soak them as it says. I can't find the 'Reinforced clutch basket and lock washers' though.. Thoughts?

How do I go about changing the PM Tuning lever back the standard front brake lever on a Smallframe? Also while I'm doing the front brake how do I adjust it so I have more to brake with?

What does adjusting the clutch do? Stop the scooter from dragging? Etc
Does adjusting the clutch cable have anything to do with performance of a tuned scooter?

It's all properly set up by Chiselspeed, with an extra grand I've spent on it.
It's revving higher but not pulling anywhere like it did before? It doesn't seem to pull like it did last week.
It had happened before I was doing 51mph max but that wasn't revving out quick. Last week I was clocked at 75mph all gears pulling power smoothly and now it's not?

My dad had a ride on it earlier and said it isn't slipping, he even wheelied it in first and a scooter shop mechanic said it won't be the clutch slipping?

It's only started doing it after two days after I got it back.
I just asked a friend mechanic and explained what clutch slip is and he said it's revving and not pulling away basically which is what is happening.
Do you mean putting it in third on tick over and letting the clutch out?
I'd like to learn how to do it myself instead of taking it back since I've spent a lot of money and it's still not right.
I recorded a video on my trip to work this morning, I was thinking of emailing it over to Chis and seeing what they suggest.

its a tuned smallframe ,what clutch is in it , at 14bhp it will murder a stock one .a decent newfren/surflex 3 plate set up with a polini uprated spring is the bare minimum .i dont use mallosi springs after having problems with one in the past . H I'm not entirely sure what clutch is in it at the moment, just looked through some receipts and it's got Malossi plates in it. If I were to change the clutch myself.. would it be fairly straight forward or would it be best taking it to a mechanic to fit? Im a complete novice at mechanics but willing to learn more about my scoot. I understand I'd need to take the PM tuning exhaust off of it to get the rear wheel off but im afraid it'd end up with an air leak or cause a problem...

What causes the clutch to start slipping? It's a brand new clutch that was put in while it was at Chiselspeed. Is it just wear?
What's the fix? A new clutch? I don't think I could do that really, I'm a pure novice at it.

Nothing has changed on your gearing so either the 'tune' means you are getting up to speed quicker in each gear, or it is possibly revving slightly higger than it did before.
Or your clutch is slipping, but really you'd feel that and more likely to be in 3rd or 4th than lower gears
I don't understand why it would suddenly change through the week though. Everything worked fine and pulled well when I went to pick it up and the following day and now this? It had a new reed valve and new carb slide while it was there. It was on the dyno for the third time doing just under 14bhp.. It doesn't seem to be ticking or revving any higher than before either?
First and second seem gutless at the minute if you know what I mean? I'm about to ride home soon will see how it goes then.. Disappointed.. I don't really know anything about tuned scooters.. I rebuilt one standard carb on my old P series.. 😞

My first and second gear seem to rev out quicker than before? What is the cause of that? It was at Chiselspeed for three weeks and then another week after. All the gears seemed to rev out a lot more and the following day after that. This past week first and second seem to rev out too quickly?
135 Malossi kit, ported and matched Polini CP 24mm carb, everything tuned. Been on the dyno doing under 14bhp

SIP speedo has completely stopped working, no speedo or rev counter is showing up. Any ideas why that happened? It's been at Chiselspeed for 4 weeks. They said something about a black box behind the headlight.
How hard is it to change it back to the original speedo for a novice after having the SIP put in?
Thanks

Taken my first fall just half an hour ago.. other than the scratches on the mudguard and side door on the 50 spesh is there anything I should check? The handle bars were out of line with front wheel but all straight now. I'm worried I might have done more damage than I can see. I can't see anything wrong with it and it started first kick and rode back home fine.. I'm just abit worried and mad that I fell down tonight. And just after I spent £700 on it last Saturday! Thanks guys

So, the scoot is currently at Chiselspeed.. Waited 2 weeks now for the carb to be tuned and a few other bits doing.. (Brakes and clutch adjusting..) waiting another week now till it's ready. I've been told the clutch has now burnt out? Before it was taken to Chiselspeed the clutch was working fine? It did drag a little in first gear but I kept it in neutral when possible.
What has caused the sudden burn out? The engine had only just done over 600 miles since the entire rebuild of the engine.
It seems they had taken the mick outta me for asking the other members online calling me an 'online mechanic' for some advice..

I'm going to be swapping the spark plug from an 8 to a 7 soon too. The spark plug was black and oily when I took it out earlier after putting a 116 MJ in it but the 118 was fine..? It seemed boggy and had no power at all.

Smallframe was running lean so I swapped out a 112 MJ for a 118 MJ, ran down the road, everything was fine, not much power in the top end it seemed but was fine. Got back and swapped it for a 116, now the problem started. Fire it up and it bogs like the choke is on. The choke wasn't on.
I was told i would need to turn the mixture screw, 1/8 to a 1/4 turn out(?) which of yet I have not done as I got bored of it today.
What are your thoughts on it bogging down?
Malossi 135, Polini CP 24/24 with 118 MJ currently.

My high beam started flickering and cutting out around town, rode home, unscrewed the light and checked connectors were on and wires were connected, everything was fine. High beam was working again. I went back out, a lot foggier now, went round everything fine. Started coming home and the high beam started cutting out again and wouldn't work. The small low light was working fine though. Any ideas? Maybe a bulb?

Vespa 135 Malossi kitted, 20 more miles to the 500. Out on it Monday night for a short ride around town, pulling fine, revving out gears longer.. the next two days, the gears have been revved out shorter, first and second are not revving out like they did before?
Any ideas? Maybe the weather change? I'm going to be doing a couple of plug chops later in the week.

Anybody familiar with the Polini carb? www.polini.com/en/page_696.htmlRan into a small problem.. Throttle is sticking. Scooter was running weak/lean so the needle in the carb was dropped by one. Had a half an hour or so ride on the day no problem. Next day, parked up at work, comeping home, got down the road and the throttle started sticking. Any ideas? Im new to this carb so I don't much about it. I can the carb, I think the slide? (listed as 'Valve' on the diagram) Sticking when I use the throttle. thanks for any help.

On the Polini oil bottle there is % marks around the base, look for the 3% mark, follow that line towards the neck of the bottle, I think it reads 2,4,6,8 this is the measurement of oil for the corresponding amount of Petrol, 4lts of petrol fill the bottle to the number 4 above the 3% mark with 2 stroke and add that to your tank with the petrol. Hope this makes sense, lol D. It makes sense, yes. The only 3% mark is the 3 - 6% mark? Going up from there is 2-1, ---, 4-2, ---, 6-3. Im guessing 5L of Petrol 4-2 and the 6-3 mark?

If anyone uses the Polini bottle for 3% could you tell me each measurement? 1L, 2L etc.
Thank you

Malossi kitted smallframe, 3% oil mixture. I bought a Polini measuring bottle to mix 3% and it's confusing with all the numbers on it. Has anybody used it? Maybe give me a heads up before I throw petrol in the tank? Or how can I measure 3% using a 2% oil jug? 2 and a half for 5L? I've tried looking for a 3% jug, no luck

Are bolt on kits what I think they are? Changing the cylinder and cylinder head, piston?
