High beam flickering/cutting out

My high beam started flickering and cutting out around town, rode home, unscrewed the light and checked connectors were on and wires were connected, everything was fine. High beam was working again. I went back out, a lot foggier now, went round everything fine. Started coming home and the high beam started cutting out again and wouldn't work. The small low light was working fine though. Any ideas? Maybe a bulb?

If your lights are flickering,then the bulbs still work.

I'd check your earth wires.

If they are all okay then it is probably the regulator.

I'm only suggesting this as my scoots lights went off reaching 10 mph yet the indicators were twice as bright.

turned out to be the regulator and all is fine
