Here we go again! Today's Daily Telegraph has a full on article by Andrew Perry, with interviews with the band, and including pictures of the Brum gig. I won't spoil it for you by saying what's in the article - just buy a copy or look it up on the net.

Even in Germany......... I know not everybody is a Ska/Reggae fan, but 3rd - 5th July in Cologne there is a massive festival with such acts as The Beat, UB40, Bunny Wailer, Sly and Robbie, U Roy and many, many more. Cologne is a great place, and if you are a real fan, I suggest you give it a go. Details at Summerjam.de.

Doh! Sorry Robjack, I was guilty of not reading the rules properly. I was only thinking of length etc, not weight. Anyway, before I go back to the drawing board; Tiger Feet - Mud.

i was at brum on saturday night, it was f*ckin mayhem, absolutely brilliant gig, non stop energy from start to finish, very funny watching a few thousand 40 odd year old portly blokes(including me) skanking there way to near heart failure, can't wait for manc on sunday You should get a copy of the Telegraph, Simon Witter specifically mentions the older generation taking over!

Simon Witter of the Daily Telegraph reviews last night's Birmingham Academy gig in today's edition. By all accounts it was something special (excuse the pun), and he finishes by saying "they are simply one of the greatest live bands this island has ever produced". I just hope they come to Germany!

Thanks to BFBS being behind the times I saw The Specials on 'Later With Jools Holland' the other night. Despite being a big fan, I had mixed feelings. The band were really tight and if I shut my eyes it was like being back in the past. The stage performance was really good, apart from Terry who has got even more miserable than ever. There is no Jerry Dammers, who is apparently in dispute with the members of the band who have reformed, and no Rico. All in all though - welcome back The Specials, long may it last!

I just listened to this, and the lead guitar has just a touch of Smiths, I think. I would think that they're good live.

Tut tut Devo! Could it be that GMP is run by a Greaser who doesn't want his area full of shiny scooters? But, every cloud has a silver lining - the pies are good in Wigan.

The DJ was probably Dave Simon. Really looking forward to getting there now. I have a stack of Small Fakers flyers and a promo CD for the manager of the Beat Club, they'd love to play there. Indeed it was! I was in the Bad Salz Musik Pub on Friday night. It was OK, but needs more Brits to liven it up. See you Friday!

100 Mile High City by OCS and Going To A Go-Go by The Miracles on the 6 Nations coverage. Recce of Bad Salz done Spence. There's a music pub in town which has a 60s-80s music night on Friday (with draught Guinness). We've still got no phone or internet (I'm at work). Coincidentally, as I type this, 100 Mile High City is on BFBS (which is why I used Scooter Music Everywhere for this message, rather than the Guest Page. See you next week!

Devo, That sounds quite appetising! I was trying to impress Pam (we had just started going out together), but grudgingly had to admit that the show was good. Is that different from saying that Hucknall is a showman? I hope so - I don't want to lose any cred!

When they come on the old wireless I wanna fall from the stars too ... preferably without a parachute. My aunty and uncle were at that gig Zepp Sorry about the delay, Devo. We're in the process of moving house/job. The gig was good, not only because Hucknall, despite what people think, can sing and is a showman, but because one of the support bands was 'Burning Spear'! Wow!

Happy New Year guys. Did I tell you I nearly got posted to Saigon once? ;D 'Green Onions' on Celebrity Come Dine With Me yesterday. Hannover or Paderborn. Bad Salz is halfway. Pick the cheapest flight to either. My new Radio Caroline compilation has 'Havana Bound' by The Pretty Things on it.
