I’ve fitted a sip speedo all is working well apart from the speed sensor that uses the little magnet. It works but reads 11 mph when I’m going about 25-30 ish! I’ve set the rolling circumference of the 3.50 x 10 at 1370. The magnet is araldited to the side of the wheel rim. The instructions supplied are pretty useless! Thanks in advance for any help

Does a dellorto phbh type carb fit under a sprint/rally side panel without cutting a hole out of the side panel? I know pinasco now do a 28 and a 30 mm si carb with a Venturi has anyone gone for this option? Many thanks..

Engine has been stripped and new bearings and oil seals have been fitted. The gearbox has a t5 4th gear and the primary is a standard 23/65. The clutch is a cosa type! I've fitted a BGM 60mm crank (rotary). As the casings are ported for a Malossi kit I'm going to get the 210 sport kit. A couple of questions for you would the DRT 24 tooth clutch gear work with the short 4th gear (lengthen but not too much?? Also best place for the cylinder packer below? Or above? Taking into consideration the gearing I have. I plan on using a 26mm or 28mm pinasco si carb and jl exhaust? Any advice would be appreciated cheers

Right chaps I've decided to put an end to this right now 🖐This engine is coming out and a standard p2 is going back in for now ! The mallossi engine is going to be stripped and used as a donor to build a proper engine something around the 35hp + , I've just had a tax rebate and I'm spending it on me for a change 👍. If you were going to build an engine for your scooter what components would you use e.g. Gearing, clutch, reed valve or rotary, carb, exhaust etc and why? More of a torque monster than a revvy street racer !! Thank you in advance 🤝

No cant be a 60 mm crank it only has the cylinder and head gaskets that were supplied with the 210 kit, I found the drt 24 tooth clutch gear cog for standard 65 tooth on sip website would that do the trick?

The timing was set at Readspeed I believe it's 18* tdc. The engine was in the bike when I bought it and I was told it was standard. I fitted the 210 kit to give me a few extra horses to pull up the hills better. When I removed the old cylinder I could see a polished con rod and ported casings so I wouldn't be surprised if there could be a short T5 fourth gear in there as well would that explain the high revving

The Cosa 24 tooth helical is £75. I think we are saying similar, at best it would nearly go as fast at the standard 23 tooth but not any faster on the flat. Would certainly rev less, so would fix that problem but would not be in 4th so often, as it would struggle even more than the usual 210 does. The feeling of revving high would go away if it had more power in mid range. I think this is where the focus should be. Cakey, where is the timing set to?

Have the same on my sprint veloce, it has a bgm damper and a uprated sip spring but this still dives just returns quicker! I've asked about a anti dive kit but I don't think there's one on the market . Must admit it's a bit scary

Currently running a mallossi 210 with matching transfers a sip road 2 and upjetted si 24mm carb. It was dyno tested and has a power of 15.5 hp. I believe it has stock gearing and I feel it's far to revvy for my liking. What would your advice be about upping the gearing to just give a bit more top end speed and just calm the revs down a tad but without killing the power. Would just a primary drive kit do the job and what number of teeth per cog would you recommend?

Problem sorted folks I ended up taking the scooter to Readspeed for a dyno fuel air set up. Bearing in mind it's a p200e with mallossi 210 kit, flowed crank, ported casings, stock carb with a drilled filter and 130 main jet. Plus a sip road 2 exhaust. It's ended up with a 122 main jet and a new air filter NOT drilled. Its power output is 15.5 hp and rides great with the extra 50% on the stock p200 lump. Food for thought on all the comments on drilled filters guys. There opinions were drilling out the filters makes the engine run a lot leaner so you cannot get a main jet big enough to balance it out as a 135 is bigger than the 24/24 carb body it's self. The carb tubes? effectively becomes the main jet, hope that makes sense!

The carb is a new one and the jets are standard and exactly the same as you said in previous post, apart from the main jet which I put the 130 back in. It probably needs to get to normal running temperature and see if it does it when hot

I shall leave the fuel tap on overnight but I'm confident there's no leaks, the inlet hasn't been touched it's still standard. The engine was fitted in the scooter when I bought it and I was under the impression it was a standard lump it wasn't until I removed the top end I noticed the transfers and the polished con rod. I dropped the gearbox oil out this morning and that looked perfect black but no fuel or bits so it seems like seals are ok. Thanks for your help

Have you sorted your fuel problem out as I have a similar set up with a similar problem. Mine starts and ticks over fine but when I rev up fuel blows out and builds up before running down the crank case any help would be appreciated

I have a p200e engine fitted which has a Malossi 210 top end, ported casings and a flowed crank. The carb is a standard si24/24e dellorto fitted with the recommended 130 main jet. I have altered ignition timing to 18 degrees TDC as required. The problem I'm having is a lot of fuel blowing out the top of the carb so much so it runs down the crankcase ! I've put a122 jet in which has made it a little better but it still does it, I've checked the choke and it isn't stuck on ! I've even tried a brand new spaco but it still does it...... any advice would be appreciated
