I can see it happening too, I can imagine the train of thought that led to the story in the first place! I have a spare beeper too. I'm a b'stard for hoarding stuff that may come in for something one day... Hoarding stuff. Only had it a week and my garage is full of old chrome. No longer looks like a mobile scaffold.

Indicators are fine. It's just like a black lump with two connections. Looked at the wiring diagram. Could it be the indicator beeper ??

Wash down with cold water first, removes any grit from the paintwork and road salt, use an old cotton t-shirt, never a sponge dirt & grit get lodge in there and you constantly scratch your paintwork. Warm water, never boiling, fairy liquid & a splash of white vinegar. Oh and never use a pressure washer, that forces water into places it should not go. Its also not a good idea to do it in blazing hot days, water on paintwork, not good when its hot. Gary With applicator pads.

Well tomorrow after a bacon butty and a coffee or two I will use Billberry wheel and underbody cleaner, rinse, snow foam, shampoo & dry.
I will then use meguires clay bar and lube all over to remove dead paint.
Then on to dodo juice lime prime to clean the paint, four coats of meguires Polish followed by two coats of purple haze wax.
Well that's the process for the merc so might try it out on the T5 ??

Going down the clean up & service route first. Taken off the wheels, split the rims to clean up and paint then I realised the new ones are for bugger all cost.
Happy days, now which ones to but. Hmmmm

Just got it home.
Seems ok. Runs & pulls well.
Chrome side bars are off, panels are off. Spare wheels off. Some of it might go back on.
To do list before April.
Thorough clean New exhaust , question is what make and will it need jets. Service Get side panels re painted. Prob in winter. Might be a full re spray.
Advice on exhausts & jets. I know not to buy stainless
Cheers in advance.

As I am about to take delivery of my first ever Scoot I am asking you guys opinions.
What mods would you do first & why please, I have generated a bit of a fund but not sure what / how to spend wisely.
The scoot in question is a 1996 vespa T5 & it's standard tune, chrome back rack & rest, chrome front rack & bars
Thanks in anticipation for you thoughts. Andy

Hi, yes a newbie to Scoots. Hello & Please play nice.
I've just acquired a P reg T5, 125.
My question is simple, what's the difference between the standard 125 & a T5.
Many thanks
Mr P.
