So, you do not need to do a CBT if your scoot is 50cc?
My insurance co cancelled my insurance because I never gave them a copy of a CBT.

Hi all. I am Stevo and I am now the owner of a soon to be restored PK50 XL.
Had a Vespa during the mod revival in the late 70's and am now at an age when I am trying to recapture my youth.
Got this project from a German couple who bought it over with them years ago. They are now moving back to Germany and are leaving the scoot behind.
I am technically inept(?) and am confused as to what i have bought. Can anyone help on a couple of queries i have?
1 - Does this scoot have a battery?
2 - Is it classed as a small frame or a large frame?
3 - Which bits will fit this from other scooters i.e PX etc?
Any help very happily received
Hope to chat with some of you in the near future.
Stevo

Is there a downloadable Owners Manual for a PX125 anywhere on the web as i've just bought a scoot with no paperwork and need to know how to use it?
Cheers, Steve

I've just finished restoring a PK50XL. I had the engine done with a 112 Malossi(i think that's what it was) and fitted a Pollini exhaust. I just took it for a spin and got 65kmh (about 45mph). Will i get more when it's been run in or is that my lot?
It has quite alot of chrome fitted and I weigh about 14 stone.

I've just fitted a new plastic one to my s/frame. Looks great and well worth the agro. Whilst on the subject..... The plastic one i have fitted has a row of holes at the back as if to suggest a mud flap can be fitted. Is this what the holes are for or am I missing something!!!!!

It is a PK50 XL. The plastic end caps have holes half way through them(not all the way through.
It did originally have rubber mats but they look poo as they have faded to a greeny grey.
Not happy anyway as there are no bridge piece runners for a PK according to Beedspeed.

Hi, Just purchased a floorboard runner kit for my PK and I am a bit confused. In the pack there are these 12 pin thingies(no thread, hole) with a domed top. I assume these are used to fit the rails to the frame but how? There were rivets in the pack also and I can see that these will be useful. The scoot never had runners before so there are no holes for me to follow/old ones for me to see how they fit, so any help will be more than useful.

Hi and thanks for the replies.
It is a PK50XL.
There is a kind of multi-plug which snap-fits under the horn cover thingy and it's too big to thread down the steerer tube.
Will give Juan a go.
Thanks again.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you remove the wiring loom?
Won't pull through from back to front through legshield and the plug on the front means it won't go front to back.
Any ideas.
It's a smallframe Vespa.

Evenin all.
New to this site and to the Vespa so excuse the following, probably simple, questions.
1- Does the PK50 XL have a battery? If it does where is it?
2- Are there any other Vespas I can get donor parts from or do they have to come from another PK
3- Am I mad for taking on this project?
Hopefully when finished it will look quite smart. Decided on Cobalt Blue(candy) with a white stripe and lots of chrome bits.
