Run it so it gets warm then empty. I usually let a drop run through, then fill with fresh.

What jets are you running, also what exhaust, have you drilled your air filter etc? As Adrian said, have you renewed your fuel pipe? Have you looked/replaced the fuel tap?

Sounds like the carb needs re jetting to me, it may well be new but it does sound like the jets are a bit big.

Sounds like it could be over fuelling, when you give it some, does the note change at all, and it pulls away like itās in top gear?

Thanks for that Gaz , got hold of Chris. Doesnāt do side panels, and to tool up (I had a word with my fibreglass guy) would be dammed expensive. I canāt afford the outlay myself. GRP Panels only do the usual mudguard, but after this, we might just have made a LD fibreglass butty box to fit a PX cutdownā¦ š¤ Will need modifying by myself, in order to fit properly, and after the usual fitting and cutting, I reckon itāll work. Not everyoneās cup of tea I know but at least cutdown guys will have somewhere to keep their oil and emergency beer/ciderā¦ What do you lot reckon?

Does anyone know who makes fibreglass panels over here to fit the P range? Iāve found fibreglass side panels for the PX on the SIP website (nearly Ā£190 per panel), and am wondering if there is anyone over here making them, plus other partsā¦ Iām considering getting a custom pair of side panels made for one of mine (more on that later, going to see my usual glass guy to get an idea on costā¦ š¤š¤¢š¤®) and am now thinking if it would be worth tooling up for some panels, other than the P range mudguard (I had some hugger mudguards made some time ago, found them but no effing mouldā¦ š), what does everyone reckon?

Never used them. Although Mitas are a budget tyre (after speaking with the tyre guys at Demon Tweeks), I did use a fair few Conti Twists, they were a bloody good all rounder, not bad in the wet either.

Might be just as easy to get a shorter spring instead of the whole assembly, question is, how much shorter? Inch might just do it. And I think thereās a washer in the front hub, canāt rememberā¦ š§

When my autolube was running, I used to fill that, and literally do an Ainsley Harriot with the oil straight into the tank. Got to admit, while doing it, I didnāt feel the need to shake about like I was getting electrocuted mindā¦ Or look like a complete tool doing itā¦ It gave me that piece of mind that if the autolube did stop working, Iād got a bit of a backup. I was doing 55+ miles a day, 6 days a week mind, with either a Polini 177 or a Malossi 166 (with Scorpion pipe) on it at the time. They say it smokes more when you have the autolube running and sticking a bit in the tank, but letās be honest, itās 2 stroke, itās smoky, itās obnoxious, and itās usually either loud, annoying, or both, itās great. Sod itā¦ š

Iāve ordered 3 of these for mine:- www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/pirelli-sc-30-scooter-tyre-1303918/They are Ā£25 a tyre, and delivery was only Ā£6.48. I had these on my sloth when I bought it new (Oct 2006), and these were the best tyres I ever had. Not seen scoot tyres this cheap, and Tweeks get them straight from Pirelli too. Iāve never liked Michelin S1 (always felt it was about to go out from under me), same with Michelin S83. Did use Conti Twists for some time, but theyāve gone up in price too, but they seemed to be a pretty good tyreā¦ š¤
