Hello, front hub turns freely when no nut on, put on nut it pushes against hub, wheel doesnt turn. Should there be something between hub nut and bearings/hub? On another note I'm a short arse so read it another forum you can remove the 50 mm spacer at top of back shock to lower the rear end, did this and both feet touch the ground now but getting the back wheel off was a struggle, question is can you shorten the spacer to around 20mm safetly? Thanks in advance

If you give ve uk a call, there's different length of spacers š or maybe a shorter shock absorber might be a better option

Might be just as easy to get a shorter spring instead of the whole assembly, question is, how much shorter? Inch might just do it. And I think thereās a washer in the front hub, canāt rememberā¦ š§

No washer on front hub behind the nut. Nut bolts against the bearing.
Suggest you strip hub off and make sure the assembly is correct from the inside out.
Im height challenged so use a lower profile seat

Thanks for the replies, may take it as a chance to change the front bearing while Ive got the hub off, it would seem they arent protruding enough for the nut to push against so the nut is just tightening up the actual hub causing it to sieze up basically, a mechanic i know wanted to make a nut with shoulder so it just touched the bearings. The back is another case lol buying a 25mm spacer that should give clearance for rear wheel while lowering it by about an inch.

Update... mechanic pal stripped out the bearings of the front hub, strangely he found a conical washer and circlip between where the hub nut goes and the bearings stopping the nut resting against the bearings??? ive no idea how it got there as I didnt do the rebuild, so quite a strange find. He says the front wheel should freely turn now that they are out. Lucky I never drove it to the garage Rear end has been lowered by a 10mm i got the shorter spacer and wheel goes on a lot easier now, just have t tip toe at lights lol
