Oh yeah and any oil will do so long as its getting the right amount, but of course the higher the quality the less engine wear(least maybe). Its a daft thing to scrimp on so I think you've made a good choice with sip , I've never used it but would trust it. Kitted scoots need the good stuff. That what I reckon anyway.

No don't mix. Be safe.you could ask sip they are good with correspondence. But I think the rule is never mix. It does matter.

Rule of thumb. When the oil goes below the sight, you have one more full tank left. Then probably just a couple of cap full or two left after that. So it's not a good idea to let it go below the sight, nor is it a good idea to fill it right up. Its a reliable system just check out your fuel gauge, would you want one of them for your oil? My fuel gauge acts like a rev counter. Bless poor vespa in all the life time of the internal combustion engine they never worked out how to make a decent gauge.

And check on that copper shim. It must be the right one. Beedspeed might have used any old rubbish.

The tossers never even brushed or soaked the pads? A-holes. When you reassemble your clutch check nothing is fouling the inside of the bell the as you build it ,then once it's together try GENTLY using a g-clamp or vice, compress the clutch (not all the way!) And have a look see if anything is catching. That's what I'd do but it could be buggered springs. Also the metal plates must be in the right order they might have got that wrong. Good luck. I bet a bit of a soak, building correctly and maybe a bit of a file and you'll be laughing.

Trust me. If it came down to it I'd put money on you being right! Some of the help you've been giving has been totally sublime. You're a superstar. So i doubt your in the wrong with this one! Anyone else do it the way I do?.... be interesting to know. Keep on trucking.

Oohh actually that's interesting. I file the discs or the pads which ever is sticking, I know this encourages unequal movement. But I do it lightly and find it's quicker and easier. You file the bell itself you say? I've only occasionally filed the slots but that normally means it's all on the way out. Hhhmmmmm.

Don't use beedspeed. They are no good. Poor quality. Poor service. Poor show. I think we all work too hard to be handing over our money in exchange for tat.

I'm with you big guy personally I'd just keep going up mj sizes as the a/c make such a difference I find going up in the mj give one a better picture in ones in ones head as to what may be happening in the business end. But I like your style you do whatever works for you. Ride on.

Does not sound like fuel starving, I've just had that plus it would show in other gears. But don't rule it out like, I can't see it. You can.

Sorry to nit pick but it's 140a/c standard from there a 130a/c is richer and a 120a/c is even richer still. Sorry if I'm nit pickin but it helps to keep things straight so people like me don't get mixed up.

Are you hitting any power in 4th? You may not be getting enough power to hit band. What gearing you on? Your revs may be too low for an expansion pipe. I don't know.

So I did it today, just smashed it up with hammer and cold chisel and tipped out the mess. Yeah my exhaust is the split one but I've left that . Runs smoothly without the honeycomb very sluggish but worth doing. Going to have a nose at one of those manifolds but doubt I'll buy major skint! But for now ,hey its working! Super.

Mind you on some autos I've had I've had this but just left it if its still reliable putting down to that scoots particular querk. But really if it didn't do it before it's something you've affected. Sorry dude. Try above...but think ..backtrack.. what could have you affected...... the answer lies within.

It's not the scoot I thought it was. I don't know much about them but on autos some times the choke don't work right. Try manually, literally with you hand, restrict the air intake. Does this improve your situation?

El skinto. Hopefully getting a replacement so I need something for now. But yes you got a point. However It works so it'll do. But it's lame. But things are a bit tight So it's mend and make do. Just wondered if that honeycomb thing replaced that exhaust baffle inside? But it's lame. Oh yes.

So now my super duper exhaust is broken (elloi elloi lema sarabatchi!) So I put my cat exhaust on, didn't fasten it too good and it promptly set my scoot on fire , oh dear, the breather bit gets very hot. Oh my, Very hot. Take2. Cleaned off mess removed the breater appendage. Bent closed the breather pipe. And hey presto I got a lame exhaust that works. Hooray. Now I'm thinking of punching out the honey comb. Will I lose too much back pressure ? Does anyone know? Does anyone care? Well I do .I got some miles to do over the next few days but I'm sure by then it will have drove me crazy and I'll be pulling it out the next chance I get. Any opinions welcome anyone else who's done this would be super.

Starts with open throttle. Is your mixture screw to far in ? try (systematically) unscrewing it a quarter turn at a time see how it starts. Have you changed jets?
