So now my super duper exhaust is broken (elloi elloi lema sarabatchi!) So I put my cat exhaust on, didn't fasten it too good and it promptly set my scoot on fire , oh dear, the breather bit gets very hot. Oh my, Very hot. Take2. Cleaned off mess removed the breater appendage. Bent closed the breather pipe. And hey presto I got a lame exhaust that works. Hooray. Now I'm thinking of punching out the honey comb. Will I lose too much back pressure ? Does anyone know? Does anyone care? Well I do .I got some miles to do over the next few days but I'm sure by then it will have drove me crazy and I'll be pulling it out the next chance I get. Any opinions welcome anyone else who's done this would be super.

It appears to me you are flogging a dead horse, faffing around with cat.
Either replace like for like or get rid of the of the cat sytem entirely.

El skinto. Hopefully getting a replacement so I need something for now. But yes you got a point. However It works so it'll do. But it's lame. But things are a bit tight So it's mend and make do. Just wondered if that honeycomb thing replaced that exhaust baffle inside? But it's lame. Oh yes.

Just a thought as l am still using the box part of a cat exhaust system and you can get a replacement part instead of a cat !! There's a few nowadays to choose from giannili down pipe l have been using ! As the system box is a very well made original big box exhaust system with a expansion in pipe piece it's only the cat part that is crappy !! Give it a go and you will be quite happy to go !! Nice one just a thought if you're exhausted is the one piece type! not to sure how you would go about getting them honeycomb out properly ! But Hay mate what l would try is baking soda to burn it out and then pull the rest out with long nose pliers peace by peace!! But Hay if it's the two peace ☮️ one just change the down pipe piece with a racing manifold down pipe and connect it to the box * and off you Go!! It's the scooter crazy method !! Ron Daly!; Method !! Best foot forward soulboy74 🏴👍

So I did it today, just smashed it up with hammer and cold chisel and tipped out the mess. Yeah my exhaust is the split one but I've left that . Runs smoothly without the honeycomb very sluggish but worth doing. Going to have a nose at one of those manifolds but doubt I'll buy major skint! But for now ,hey its working! Super.

WOW that sounds great 👍 just remembered to down size main jet back to standard one as these exhaust system run on a smaller jet !! If any changes needed it's too the air correction jets 120/130 should have you up and running well!! Give a new coat of paint and should last for year's too ,as for the down pipe £30 ish new or look for a second hand options on eBay !!! Best foot forward smash it love it 👍 soulboy74 🏴☮️

Sorry to nit pick but it's 140a/c standard from there a 130a/c is richer and a 120a/c is even richer still. Sorry if I'm nit pickin but it helps to keep things straight so people like me don't get mixed up.

Okay yes mine was running lean after doing the air filter drilling modifications and up the jets main one to 98 so I reduce down to!97 and put a 120 air correction jet in and l running rich again ! Sill doing run out to make sure it's okay but it seems to have help ! My PX Vespa is the Euro 3 type and is a bit tricky to get right can't seem to get a good result in up the main jet ! Best regards soulboy74 🏴

I'm with you big guy personally I'd just keep going up mj sizes as the a/c make such a difference I find going up in the mj give one a better picture in ones in ones head as to what may be happening in the business end. But I like your style you do whatever works for you. Ride on.

Just can't help trying out different set up as l don't want a ornament sitting in the corner LOL just done a side panel with Bullet proof PX Vespa 125e with bullet holes in it crazy days peace ✌️ soulboy74 🏴☮️
