Just bought another lump for one of the (various) project, it’s a 150 with points. If this was an old car, I wouldn’t need to ask…. What do I need to change, it’s a P150X.

The key is tyre pressure, faith and the right tyre. I found the Pirelli tyre was best for me, but Michelin S1 were terrible. Conti twists were surprisingly good for serious motoring miles.

LD horncast on a cutdown, and use an LD glovebox on another cutdown. Only a matter of a small profile where it goes round the column… 🤠

There was a lot of lamby stuff there, but I did manage to worry two blokes there… I told them what I intend to do with the two LD parts I bought

Easy way with a seizure, doing 65+ head down, arse up, that split second when it cuts out. You know, when you look down and go on f**k, then she fishtails….. Clutch in, coast a bit, clutch out, see if the dam thing splutters into life. Bob hopes buggered off, stand and stare at it for 15/20 minutes (feels like an eternity), gingerly kick the thing over. Get going back home, swear a lot, put in shed, stick kettle on, change underpants.
Brief guide to a seizure.

I always use Lucas oil. Was developed for 2t chainsaws, so should sort out any scoot… I have tried many different oils, and found for me, Lucas was best for frequent use, lots of miles.

Is the rear brake worth the money? Did look at it, but was floored when I saw how much…

Your at the top of a very slippery slope. I know all about that slippery slope, the bill for my 187 motor is over 2k plus labour 😱 but worth every penny for the smile it puts on my face, even when I blew it up while having fun with a transit van, If you had said Merc it would have looked better… 😆😎

Yep that’s the best way, it’s probably what I’ll do to mine. Or you could clean it down and hammerite it. Guy used to do it to his car every year, it’s still going strong now with no welding work done. 🤠

Stick a kit on it. Nothing too crazy, either a DR or a Polini should help you keep your license…. I had a Polini on mine just so I could outrun the twist and go mob

You could ask the DVLA to find out any more history, my guess it’s either a Spanish, Indian or an Italian import (Russia did have some too 😶🌫️). This doesn’t mean it’s worth nothing, check the MOT history on it, more than likely had a rebuild at some point.

Your scoot was first registered in the UK in 2008, so is likely an import, it did look like an age related plate you have. Last logbook applied for was August 2020. AMO appears to be a Berkshire reg, but again this means nothing as with age related plates, you get the next available one.
