I’ve recently been listening to the self titled album by The Concretes, pretty good easy listening stuff 👍

Never worry about any modifications, if it gets another back onto the road, then what does it matter. I got shunned from the local scooter community because I look like a greaser and ride a Vespa. I say f**k them.... 😎

Got another frame to butcher for the Reliant/Vespa trike project, so the VBB frame is up for sale. Would love to swap it for a Douglas Rod, but know I've got more chance of bedding Kelly Brook... It's not the best frame in the world, but it is honest if it is anything. Would consider a cash offer, but I have no other parts to go with it, it's just a full frame with no numbers. Would be happy to swap for a similar aged frame, or P range, what have you got?
PM me for pictures (can't put them up on here), it's not for sale anywhere else. At all.

Oh dear, this again....
Most state that any oil is good enough to run in your scoot, and will say that despite the many brands out there, cheap 2 stroke oil will do. My opinion is that I used my sloth everyday for about 13 years, as it was my only mode of transport. In that time I used Halfords 2 stroke, PJ1, Silkolene, Putoline and Lucas. In my humble opinion, I would always go for Lucas as it was designed for chainsaw engines. I have genuinely only had one problem with it in about 6 years, it nipped up while I was giving it a bloody good hiding on the main roads. 2 sets of skid marks were left that day, one black and rubbery, one brown and unforgiving... 😆

That is what I use to sort my exhaust... I struggle around on the floor like a dying carp.... The next one I put on, will be held by an R clip...

Drum brakes can be good but you have to keep looking at them. You can get better lined shoes (a 'halo' material is used for the classic race boys done by Mintex), sure they are available for scoots. Newfren is used on scoots, grooved so the sh*t flies out of them, and supposed to be a much better compound. Just depends on your budget really, either a £30 odd quid for shoes, or god knows for a complete front end, possibly minus a few parts. Is your Vespa kitted? If so, what with?

If you don't have an dremel, use mole grips to get it started.

There's a scoot shop 5 minutes up the road from me, just check with any tyre fitter that they can do 10 inch wheels. They bust it, they bought it.
