I would be surprised if the nut did jump threads to be honest, once tightened with the pin in place, it shouldn’t really move. You also don’t have to buy the nut from a scoot shop, any decent hardware place should have them. Do you have any die nuts? If so, get the correct size and run it down the thread, will clean it of any crap. If not, wire brush it. Sorry if I’m telling you how to suck eggs... 🤠

New rings, and a change of underpants.... Reckon the bore would be okay if you have a ‘trigger finger’ like reaction on the clutch.

I’d love a Douglas Rod too, but they are just as expensive. Proper Douglas as well 😁😎

That’s right. A few of mine say Douglas on the logbook, oldest I have now is a 78, my mum still reckons that’s why I got into them (it’s my Christian name), but she still won’t give me the money for a Dragonfly..... 😩😎

Not seen any for ages, but there was a set which had sidelights on the end. They are fairly spongy. What about a change in gloves too? I have HAVS so I’m considering better gloves.

Not sure if you could do that on a VBB. If you put on a bigger carb and performance exhaust, all you’ve done is increase its intake and exhaust sound, you’ve not actually improved anything apart from fuel consumption. I don’t know about any kits for your scoot.

Sorry chaps, the mrs wanted one of them. She’s not a fan of anything 2 wheels (apart from my IZH), but she hates Lambrettas over everything else... 😆

Sintered brake pads are for racing only, they need heat to work. Don’t put them on a road scoot, would void your insurance. I use EBC, as I know one of the guys there, but Ferodo brakes are bloody good too.

My autolube packed in after 2 years of ownership (was brand new in October 2006) been mixing in the tank since. I don’t trust the autolube system, I rely on my split personality reminding me...., 😈

Hi and welcome. I look like I’m wearing a PX as I’m 6ft 2 so with a bigger scoot, it probably won’t be so bad.

I had to work, firm was closed for two days.... I supply parts for classic cars (Lotus) so I reckon I helped save a load of marriage breakdowns by keeping the other half in the garage! Scoot wise, nowt. Vehicle wise, my 205 is nearly back on the road, and the mrs dads 101 has had some work done to it now... I bought two Vespa frames, does that count??? 😁
