Notice a knocking and found movement on the engine mounting (tightened the bolt but no difference)Found some new rubbers described as easy to fit.How hard are they to replace does the engine have to be removed or can it be dropped to changed these rubbers?

They are not the easiest things to get out to be honest, I'd not attempt it personally without removing the engine completely as you need to put a bar through and hammer them out, its a bit of a faff and you need the engine steady to be able to hammer, also its not always as simple as it sounds and I have had to resort to driling out all the rubber or burning them with a heat gun (nasty job) just depends how stubborn they are, so I'd suggest leave yourself a fair bit of time to do.
Putting the new ones in is the easy bit, using a threaded bar and big washers is the best way to get them nicely aligned, but you can do same with hammer and a socket if you like, again, this is really only possible with the engine out.

It's not a job that needs a lot of skill, but it's quite a fight to get the old ones out. You'll need the engine out of the frame to wrestle it into submission. I had my first bash at it last year, not my favourite job, but confident about doing it again now. You might pick up some pointers here: vespa.proboards.com/thread/5607/selecting-replacing-engine-mountsor here: & here:
