theres extended p range forks on fleabay at moment ,not twisted tho , will see if i can find em again an link em for ya .ive only ever extended 1 set of forks as i dont like the look an it ruins the handling somewhat. but guy begged me to do it despite being warned off ,only kept em on for 2 weeks before binning them .an was later overheard saying i must of done it wrong coz it was unsafe to ride .after a brief interlude with his head between the door n jamb of pub bog he altered his opinion somewhat . sorry i digress , any competent engineering/welding shop should be able to do it, but personally i'd alter lammie forks as they can be raked after lengthening to keep ride height n floor level . Cheers Henri..but im after a bit more length to make me happy (said every man ever)..will search local engineering places nr me, see if any of em can sort me out..there,s no such thing as unsafe too ride..bitd we were told that 12" over forks were the max possible...so had a local farmer mate (with a welder) knock up a 13" extended fork for my px125...couldnt take a pillion..it would flip over..aquaplaned through puddles (it was so close too balancing point), and could wheelie any speed any gear just through leaning back and holding the bars..i do have a couple of pics of it (89/90time) somewhere n as soon as i find all my old photo,s i,ll post em up for everyone too laugh/cry at lol LOON-E

I def had a few...most..ok almost all my scoots from bitd would prob have got me into the barely ridables and cheers for all the links/info you keep coming up with H your lots help so far on this build has been invaluable , quick call to Beedspeed just now and sorted, cdi on its way..reg on its way back..gonna call em again tommoz and talk forks..see if i can get mine squeezed in Si there was plenty of swearing and chucking stuff about yesterday as i came to the conclusion that i really need some proper tools instead of the hodge podge of stuff i have now, did plan on getting stuff done but ended up putting a couple of coats of laquer on the casings and flywheel b4 calling in a day..the plan by the end of this week is too have the engine just about finished so it can be smuggled into the spare room where i can gaze longingly at it waiting for the day its gonna get back in the frame Hoping the frame will be away too the blasters very soon, sorting it out with my local shop tommoz..and still have the front mudguard too attack..im now away too my graffiti artist mate for tea where im gonna get him stoned and talk him into painting the spare wheel cover i got sat If i get time tommoz or weds the jig is def coming out again too see the front mudguard off..and im after a bit more help from the forum with tracking me down a backrest..on Beedys site the flipover classic (102quid) shown has the tubes that bend down to bolt nr your numberplate..no good too me as i havnt got that bit of the frame left, i remember having 1 that didnt have the extra bracing points at the back the 2 side tubes finished straight just past the end of the seat (if you can understand any of that ) bitd every vespa seemed too have 1..anyone got 1 kicking about they want too sell?? you might have to alter a jimmy style one to fit as they bolt under the seat an dont have the rear running bracing bars ,if beedys still aint up for it make nice n see if he will tell you who he use to farm out the stuff to.as i'm sure it isnt done in-house ,or ring round local welding/engineers til ya find a guy who knows what ya want in the grimsby area .that'll be were beedys use to go , grimsby the reason they say "its grim tup north" ,but who put the "c##t" in scunthorpe thats what i'd like to know . i never said i didnt like em ,just got memorys of every other dweeb "customising" his bike in 70's-80's by slapping on a tombstone an ape-hangers an thinkin they was "easy-rider" . reckon it will fit nice on ya scoot an blend with the theme ya going for nicely .but lets be honest ,after the ugly-duckling piaggio called a px rear light anythings a improvement .still reckon a skull with ants/c**kroaches engraved would look nice ,if a tad morbid .H

ooh my god , the "iron cross" ,you didnt just go there , an the "sip" frenched tunnelled rear lights , been there done that , an so have so many others , whilst its not my personal fave ya choice of tombstone looks good n will work , dare to be different/true to ya theme . it will work , your scoot n your choice . have always admired rabs tag line , " i mod my scoot coz i like it,if you dont tough" , not 100% accurate but in the general ball park . #H

As much as it wouldn't be my choice (even though I do like the Prodigy), that is really looking the business, Loone! Your engraver has done a first class job there, that scoot is seriously going to turn some heads when it's finished!

Cheers fella,s..Vespaco, im having the blasting work done through my mates bike shop instead of going direct myself ( bikeshop does a fair bit of buisness with them, so thought they might look after their good customers more than some 1 off they dont know..ie me lol). Nico..the annealling/engraving work looks bang on in the flesh..the piece he,s doing at the min for me is the most complex but im confident its gonna look the dogs The very 1st post i made on this thread on day 1 of ownership i asked about the slatted headlight driver screen ..Henri pointed me too the only 1 on ebay that fitted the bill (repo not org..but exactly what i was looking for)..ive been holding out ever since for 1 too come up, a few have surfaced on ebay but not quite the right 1. with things almost ready too go too the airbrusher my bank account will be gutted to find i caved in and shelled out on a repo slatted screen this morning...will be buzzing when it arrives Got a couple of hrs tommoz and half a day saturday too crack on with stuff..then its gettin mashed at Utd sunday followed by a whole week of 12hr shifts so things are def gonna grind too a halt LOON-E

Nice. And it's Hardly Rideables... A well known motorcycle manufacturer got upset with their logo and threatened legal action. They ignored it and it went away....

Cheers Nik 12hr shifts this week have seen me do very little..did manage too spend a few more quid online (F*ck me will it never end ), loom is now outta the frame...mudguard has been trimmed (will get a piccy tommoz of the butchery ) and the side panels/arse end have been smoothed out/indy holes drilled and eventually this week all the metalwork is away too the blasters Have all the lettering and artwork (well maybe..i keep adding sh*t ) sized and printed off for the airbrush house..all being well i wanna drop the frame off next weekend n have a final picking of cols/effects Did get a shiney chromed rear hub arrive thats heading too the etcher,s in the nxt week or too was over there unit friday and saw the vector images for the floor piece..very happy n could be done nxt week Do any of the forum crowd goto the newark autojumble?? i saw it advertised in scootering is it worth a look (im still after forks), in the same mag is a add for the "Peanut Duck" parts fair n custom show in Milton Keynes in Dec..im gonna do there as well...anyone going? newarks good ,too far for me but a few guys i chat with on "smallie world" rate it , milton keynes would mean a half circuit of m25 so will give it a miss , havent heard off peanut duck so cant comment ,but if its not advertising scoot stuff would expect it to be peopled by short fat beardy guys buying chrome bolt-on "custom" stuff for harleys . i often shop in different genres/scenes an mix it up , you can get some good ideas from other scenes . Did make it over to where all the metalwork is today. and took a couple of piccys..holes drilled out in the sidepanels...them little smoked indys are gonna live in here only took a pic of 1 panel..as the other looks the same As for the front mudguard....JIGSAW HAPPY!! ..gone for the late 80s moto x look out of curiousity whats the most knobblist (thats not a real word, but you know what i mean ) treaded 3.50 x 10 road legal tyre out there?? A slight trimming Crap hrs at work tommoz means no headway then Old Trafford sat for the footie means sun will be spent infront of moto gp on tv ( for those not into racing..we could have a world champion come sunday..Go Danny Kent in moto 3 ) in full on recovery/hangover mode ..monday morning n time to badger the engraver to get my floor piece back LOON-E

lumpy tyres= conti-moves365 , fugly but real sticky in all weathers . or pit-bike mud pluggers ,but they would make scoot unridable in anything but sunny/dry conditions . H
