Help my clutch is not engaging when put into first from N
engine starts I can put it into N when I pull in the clutch leaver and select 1st the scoot leaps forward and stalls. but I don't think its the clutch as the gear box will spin when in N with clutch pulled in and I press the kick start.
there is resistance at the leaver and pulling the leaver moves the clutch arm.
I tried tightening the cable but that engaged the clutch permanently.
there is no sign of gear slippage when riding this leads me to think its not clutch ware.
could it be the cable outer housing? I'm going to replace the inner and outer to see if that helps but inspection of the cable shows no signs of damage.
I have a corsa clutch with CR90 plates engine is a 177 kit
any ideas welcome.
could a worn brass plunger cause this? i would think it would be clutch drag more than the clutch not releasing at all in gear.
