I have a 1960 vba with a rebuilt p150x engine...complete bearing set,new barrel, piston, crank, cush drive overhauled and a new 6 spring clutch, brass plunger, pressure plate and lever . Engine runs a treat, engine off clutch lever pulled in the kick start is disengaged....start engine pull lever clutch will not disengage any gear...just jumps into whichever gear is selected and unless off the ground just stalls. ..all gears can be found so box is adjusted nicely?. Clutch is adjusted properly 2mm slack at lever ..even if you add more to it still the same..I've tried adding an extra 0.8mm to the original 3.2mm spacer behind the clutch and fitting a smaller spacer instead but always the same problem. Clutch has been apart several times , turret height is ok brass washer is good , it was oiled for 24 hrs before fitting..please guys bit of help

Hello there. I'm only guessing but are the tongs free to slide up and down on the turrets in the clutch basket.also is the round bronze bush tight on the shaft in the middle of the clutch.good luck with you will get there.cheers alan.
