I slowed down for a junction on my 56 plate PX125 and on accellerating again it started to miss until it cut out completely. It has lost its spark. I changed the plug and CDI which made no difference. I measured the resistance at the green wire and it says 563 ohms. Is this a normal reading as that was the next thing i was going to try? It has run fine until today. Thanks

green to white 500 +/- 20 ohms Red to white 110 +/- 5 ohms.
Try plug, cap and clip the end of the ht lead and redo ends.
Check ht to ground with cap off.

It turns out it was an internal break in the red wire. Replaced it and starts ok now. All ohm readings are within spec. :-) The engine is now a BGM 177. Is it normal to have what I would call a piston-slap noise, worse when cold?

Had that before corroded wires.
Good result!
