Not seen either as I’ve not noticed it on any of mine… I guess anything that’s similar to a side stand, off the top of my head??

Hello thankyou for your reply as far as I know these plates bolt under the stand brackets to strengthen the floor as the floor tends to bend when putting bike on the stand cheers alan.

Both strengtheners wouldn’t be overkill to be honest. But if you fitted a side stand, you would have something you could use as well?

Yep seen this and i have it on my 83 px.
Ive got the single plates under the stand brackets.
The full piece type has only just came on tbe market and my opinion would be go with that but...
But make sure your frame is properly sealed/painted before you fit as. It may give rise to holding water/moisture between the frame and plate.... The frame will go first! Maybe consider a body wirk sealant after fitting.

I bought some stainless steel plates that go in between the frame and the centre stand a few years back. Not exactly a "frame strengthening" mod. but more of a "load spreading" mod. for the centre stand pick up bolts which due to their design will eventually distort the frame after several decades of use. I think you would need to invest in some heavy duty welding to improve the vespa design flaw which is the floor and stand arrangement.
