Buy a new relay - quite cheap, check earth connections, spray WD 40 around.

Buy a new relay - quite cheap, check earth connections, spray WD 40 around. Hi thanks for the advice, I've heard conflicting views on which is the earth on the side panel, I've always thought it was the hook that pulls the panel in but some say its the spring on the top could it be the relay if only one side was out ? cheers

1. Check all connections are soldered on the switch and in good condition. 2. Check earths on each indicator 3. Check/emery the end of the panel connector which it fits in frame 4. Clean the frame hole where panel fits and make sure its springing. 5. Use a test lamp in here to check. 6. Take of rear indicator covers and check no break in the internal connections. 7. Relay swap 8. Its multi meter time checking wiring.

Unlikely i would say. Sounds more to me like earth's and/or connections I've cleaned all connections and the right side is now working but the left rear now only works with the headlight on which flashes. same with break light The front left indicator doesn't work at all now. I know it's probably something simple I'm missing but it's driving me crazy. I must be missing an earth or connection somewhere

Difficult to diagnose over the internet. Have you got a wiring diagram? Plenty on line or in tbe haynes manual. Go back to basics checking all connections. Check the connections on the brake pedal.

Thanks. I will check the break this weekend, I put a new relay on and just the back indicators came on and stayed on I did find quite a bit of corrosion on the two connectors to the fuse so will clean these or replace this weekend

Found the culprit. The machine screw that holds the indicator switch on was catching a wire when fully tightened.i had checked all the connections but missed a tiny nick further up the wire. Thanks everyone that helped
