Request for Advice - Bringing Scoot from UK to Ire

I've recently moved from the UK to the RO Ireland. I've been a scooterist and am looking at getting another as the Dublin traffic is so bad I had to leave the house on Sunday to get to work to send this message today!

Is there anyone out there who has brought a scoot from the UK and registered it in Ireland? If so how easy/difficult was it?
I've found a really good scoot shop in Dublin, but it still seems cheaper to buy in the UK and reregister.

lots of scooters for sale in dublin have you tryed the vespa club of ireland web site,plenty of bargain scoots there,also scooter warehouse in cork,im in dublin,you,ll find me on the vci site if you need help,cheers paul
