Hi, I'm about to buy a standard PX125. Is it a 3 port engine (same port layout as an LML) and if so, will the BGM kit go straight on? With a better crank etc. Thanks

Yes the bgm kit is a straight fit, but unless you are enlarging the ports I wouldn't worry about changing the crank. I'm running the bgm kit with long stroke crank, expansion chamber uprated gearbox and primary drive 28 mm delorto with welded cases and the list goes on and on 🙄

If you want to save a few pounds, the aluminium vmc kit gives good results, and bolts straight on 👍

Hi, Adrian, what gasket thicknesses did you use with the 60mm crank, as I was considering one if (when) I strip the motor to match the transfers? Do you know anyone stocking the BGM kits? Seem hard to find. What is the cost and availability like for the VMC kits. Thanks

Vmc is £100 cheaper than bgm . I will measure base gasket tonight, but on the vmc with 60 crank it's 1.5 mm

Hi Adrian, Am I right in thinking that there is no headgasket/spacer on the VMC kit, just an 'O' ring? So 1.5mm is OK at the base only? Thanks

There isn't a head gasket , just the o ring, and the 1.5 mm base plate is for use with a long stroke crank, then there are various thickness gaskets to get the correct squish. They say 1.4 but the closest I could get was 1.35
