Has anyone come across this, when cold tick over is ok (maybe a little low if anything) go out for a ride and after 10 minutes on it it’s Rickover is racing , any thoughts as to why please?

Sounds like an air leak as said.
Start with carb, check the carb box to block and carb are tight.
After that start looking at cylinder, head and studs.

Hi
Carburettor and head was tight , I removed spark plug to check and refitted it , took it out for a half hour run and it seems to be ok know.
So it seems the plug wasn’t tight enough.
Does that sound about right?

Hello there.yes it is possible two strokes vibrate a lot and can work nuts and bolts loose. Best to have a check round every now and then to see they are tight. Good luck cheers alan.
