Can anyone please recommend suspension that has stiffer springs, as being a fat knacker I need shocks that don't sag as much. A lot of people suggest adjustable shocks, but that only changes the ride height.

All the vespa adjustable shocks i have had or fitted do not change the ride height, as the fixing points are at a fixed height. They work by compressing/decompressing the spring to give a harder/softer ride.
There are lambretta ones that the eye to eye can be adjusted, altering the ride height.
Ive used sebac, imca, bitubo and SIP... The later 2 been the best in my opinion using gas. Others out there....

My chosen shocks are bgm pro comps, and you can stiffen them up quite a lot, but not cheap

I think geared scooter riders in general are done a disservice when it comes to suspension. Unlike motorcycles, we don't really get a lot of choice in spring rates etc. The higher quality shocks may possibly give us a choice between a standard shock and what they call a sport shock with a bit higher spring rate, but in general different rider weights are not catered for much at all. With regard to adjusting the shock, don't forget that shortening the spring with the adjuster doesn't stiffen it, it just moves where the final sag point is. Longer or shorter shocks determine the unladen ride height, spring preload then determines what the laden ride height will be, but it's spring rate that determines the sag. In an ideal world the spring rate on your scoot will be perfect for your weight, riding style etc, but that doesn't take into account when your riding 2 up or with a load of gear for a rally. Suspension is not an exact science for a scooter due to the lack of spring rates and damping adjustability on all but the top models of shock absorbers.

I'm lucky, and only weigh 10 stone 🤪 so suspension isn't an issue for me

Faulkners springs would make them, but you would have to know the rate you want. Also Alan at Vincent Springs would do the same too. Both not scooter firms, but both would help, as long as you know what you want.

You're right Ironsloth, Faulkners was my first thought, but after scouring the internet for ages I haven't been able to find the standard spring rates as a baseline to work from. Hopefully someone can prove me wrong. I'd take my springs off, but I don't know where I could get their rate measured.

What about speaking to Hagon? I spoke to them at a bike show, unfortunately I got a most unhelpful dick who didn’t want to be on their stand ( got an IZH as well as several scoots), may well be useful to speak to them?? Is there much choice in shocks for Vespas?? 🧐

No, I think I'll just have to go with shocks that are advertised as heavier than stock.
